Position Summary:
We are searching for the Heroku Product Leader to steer product strategy and execution, ensuring that Heroku leads in the AI Platform as a Service (PaaS). The ideal candidate will have a clear approach to product innovation, a deep understanding of market dynamics, and a strong drive to propel growth through effective product management, focusing on operational excellence and security.
You are someone:

  • Who cares deeply about the total customer experience, including APIs, billing models, and support.

  • With experience with and deep understanding of open source technologies and marketing dynamics, especially those surrounding Kubernetes and Cloud Native.

  • Track record of product management for an entire platform or service that includes owning the tradeoffs between operational stability, efficiency, security, and features.

  • Discipline and focus to ruthlessly prioritize the things that matter, even if that means doing fewer things better.

  • An iterative mindset who has a track record of working closely with engineering to ship fast and adjust course.

  • Experience building platform products for larger enterprises.

  • Able to articulate a strategic product vision for Heroku and communicate that vision to the Heroku team, internal stakeholders, and customers. Great with executive communication, and can partner with sales deeply on customer engagements.

  • Experienced in leading product management within the cloud computing or platform solutions space

  • Proven history of developing and implementing successful product strategies.

  • Skilled in utilizing data-driven decision-making and experienced in various facets of product management, including market analysis, user experience, and agile development methodologies.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and implement a product strategy that aligns with Heroku’s objectives and Salesforce’s values, emphasizing operational stability, security, and innovation.

  • Oversee the full product lifecycle—from concept to launch—ensuring that our products meet market demands and exceed customer expectations.

  • Utilize market research and trend analysis to inform product development and identify new opportunities.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and sales, to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.

  • Establish and manage strategic partnerships that enhance Heroku’s product capabilities and expand our market presence.

  • Engage directly with customers to gather insights, ensuring their needs are central to our product development process.

  • Lead and support the product team, promoting a culture of excellence, growth, and creativity.

  • Monitor and assess product performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to optimize our product portfolio.

  • Plan and oversee the successful launch of new products, ensuring they achieve significant market impact and user adoption.

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $371,000 to $463,000.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $371,000 to $463,000.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
