Who we are
We're Redis. We built the product that runs the fast apps our world runs on. (If you checked the weather, used your credit card, or looked at your flight status online today, you’re welcome.) At Redis, you’ll work with the fastest, simplest technology in the business—whether you’re building it, telling its story, or selling it to our 10,000+ worldwide customers. We’re creating a faster world with simpler experiences. You in?
Why would you love this job?
We are seeking a VP of Product Marketing to own the end-to-end story of our data platform from how it’s positioned, how it wins, and how it’s adopted by developers and enterprises. This leader will define strategic messaging, guide technical narrative development, drive competitive and market intelligence, and ensure our go-to-market motion is deeply informed by customer realities.
This is a player/coach role requiring both strategic horsepower and hands-on execution. You will shape how Redis competes, how we launch, how we enable the field, and how we articulate value from architectural depth to business outcomes. The ideal candidate has led PMM for technical products used by developers and procured by complex enterprise buying centers.
What You’ll Do
Messaging, Positioning & Narrative
- Own product-level messaging, ensuring clarity across technical, economic, and executive stakeholders.
- Build compelling value narratives grounded in architecture, performance, economics, and strategic differentiation.
- Translate technical capabilities into customer outcomes for developers, architects, platform engineering, data teams, and CXOs.
Technical Marketing & Storytelling
- Lead technical narrative development, including reference architectures, solution patterns, demo strategy, and hands-on technical marketing content.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Solutions Engineering to validate claims, publish performance benchmarks, and articulate “how it works” with accuracy and authority.
- Oversee creation of demos, proofs-of-concept, and reproducible solution assets used across field, partners, and self-serve channels.
Competitive, Market & Customer Intelligence
- Own competitive and market intelligence: category trends, market shifts, emerging use cases (e.g., AI/ML, vector search, real-time analytics).
- Own a formal win/loss program and convert insights into messaging updates, sales plays, positioning shifts, and roadmap influence.
- Establish Redis as a thought leader through data-backed proof points, battlecards, and differentiated claims.
Field, Partner & Ecosystem Enablement
- Lead core enablement for AEs, SEs, and partners: talk tracks, playbooks, evaluation guides, objection handling, demos, and solution blueprints.
- Build scalable programs that accelerate enterprise sales cycles, increase technical win rates, and improve deal velocity.
- Equip partners and cloud marketplaces with packaged solutions, positioning, and repeatable GTM motions.
Launch & GTM Excellence
- Own launch strategy and execution across Redis’ portfolio: databases, cloud services, ecosystem integrations, and AI/analytics capabilities.
- Ensure cross-functional readiness across Product, Sales, Demand Gen, AR/PR, and Customer Success.
- Partner with Product on roadmap-market fit, beta/GA validation, pricing & packaging, and monetization strategy.
Leadership & Team Development
- Build and scale a high-performing Product & Technical Marketing team with clear standards for narrative quality, technical depth, and GTM rigor.
- Develop mechanisms for consistent program measurement, experimentation, and cross-functional alignment.
- Serve as a senior representative of Redis with customers, analysts, and at industry events; act as a credible, technically fluent evangelist.
What will you need to have?
- 12+ years of B2B product marketing experience; 5+ years leading PMM or technical marketing teams for developer-, data-, or infrastructure-centric products.
- Deep understanding of databases, distributed systems, caching, streaming, real-time analytics, and emerging AI/vector use cases.
- Demonstrated ability to influence complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles with security, compliance, and architectural evaluation components.
- Exceptional ability to craft differentiated messaging, competitive strategy, and technical narrative.
- Strong technical fluency: able to engage at the level of architects, SREs, and developers without mediation.
- Proven track record building demos, solution architectures, and technical marketing assets that drive adoption.
- Excellent writing, storytelling, and executive communication skills.
- Data-driven operator with discipline around measurement, experimentation, and feedback loops.
How Success Will Be Measured
- Increased competitive win rates and improved technical evaluation success.
- Consistent, high-impact launches with measurable adoption, product usage growth, and revenue contribution.
- High-quality enablement assets that demonstrably improve pipeline creation, conversion rates, and ACV.
- Clear, durable messaging and narrative alignment across Product, Sales, and Marketing.
- Hiring, development, and retention of a top-performing Product & Technical Marketing team.
