Create and optimize community pages on a real estate website using WordPress, edit images, proofread content, and ensure information accuracy.
We're a growing real estate company looking for a reliable contractor to help us build community pages on 55places.com. This position may require up to 40 hours per week and could last several months or longer, depending on how many communities need to be added.
Applicants may be located anywhere but must be legally authorized to work as a 1099 contractor for any company in the United States.
This is a 1099 independent contractor role, which is expected to last 3-6 months with the potential for a longer engagement.
Rate of pay is $11/hour USD.
What You'll Do:
- Create new community pages in WordPress using our existing templates and detailed instructions.
- Resize and optimize images using tools like Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom to meet our specifications.
- Proofread and edit provided content for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and clarity.
- Verify accuracy of details, such as square footage, amenities, and nearby features (e.g. confirming if a golf course mentioned is still open).
- Cross-check all provided information against official community websites and other sources.
- Upload all content, media, and details into WordPress.
- Collaborate with our internal team for final review and approval before pages go live.
Requirements:
- Strong command of written and spoken English.
- Experience using WordPress and familiarity with content management or editing.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom for image resizing and editing.
- Experience proofreading and editing human-written copy.
- Ability to follow structured documentation and detailed processes.
- Excellent fact-checking and research skills.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable working in digital environments.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with remote team members.
