Kainos is a leading partner of Workday This position is Manager on our Adaptive Planning Professional Services team, who help our clients transform their business planning needs (budgeting, revenue, personnel, KPIs, quotas/capacity, territories, reporting & analytics) with Workday Adaptive Planning.  You will work as a leader of a delivery team responsible for implementations for customers of all sizes, across multiple industries You’ll be an expert in your field, using your technical and professional expertise to mentor and guide your team members, and building and improving Adaptive Planning knowledge in Kainos and the Workday community. 

You will be expected to spend much of your time acting as a Senior Adaptive Planning consultant: 

  • Maintain proficiency and certification in the Adaptive Planning application 

  • Lead all phases of Adaptive Planning implementation projects, including: 

  • Work with clients to understand their current planning process, and take a consultative approach to move legacy models into Adaptive Planning 

  • Leverage your expertise to recommend the best solution based on the client’s requirements, budget, and timeframe, with the flexibility to adapt the scope as additional needs are identified 

  • Guide clients through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and an understanding of each client’s unique business requirements at all stages of the project 

  • Develop and configure accurate forecasting and planning models in Adaptive Planning to meet clients’ business needs 

  • Plan and conduct training sessions for users 

  • Document the planning models and reporting delivered to clients 

  • Ensure rapid time to value through delivering engagements on time and budget 

  • Communicate regularly, concisely, and clearly with customers and internal project teams to set proper expectations and ensure customer success 

  • Provide general customer service and assistance to customers and serve as the go-to resource on all project related inquiries 

  • You will also be expected to manage direct reports on the Consulting team: 

  • Set, review, and refine your and your team’s goals to be aligned with Kainos company goals; provide support so that your and your team’s goals can be achieved  

  • Ensure all team members receive regular and constructive feedback 

  • Have accountability for staffing and on-boarding of new team members 

  • Act as a role model to other consultants; mentor more junior consultants  

  • Review performance against goals and provide feedback on a timely fashion 

  • Be responsible and aware of your team’s utilization; review weekly workload forecasting (staff allocations and timesheet checks) and utilization 

  • Be actively involved in recruitment/interviews 

  • Collaborate internally to share learnings and problems solved 

 

Minimum (essential) requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or Business required 

  • 10+ years’ experience in accounting/financial management – particularly budgeting and planning and management reporting – preferred 

  • 2 - 4 years' experience implementing at least one Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) system (e.g., Adaptive Planning, Host Analytics, Anaplan, Oracle Hyperion) preferred 

  • Advanced or expert proficiency in Excel, in particular designing and building complex financial planning models 

  • Experience as a people manager 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  

  • Aptitude for learning new technologies 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Ability to handle a variety of different projects simultaneously and capable of managing multiple deadlines 

  • Organized, thorough, process-driven 

  • Previous consulting experience is ideal
