Overview
We are seeking an experienced Workday Engagement Manager to lead and oversee end-to-end Workday programs with a focus on partner-side implementations. This individual will act as the strategic point of contact for clients, manage delivery teams, and ensure successful execution of Workday HCM and/or Finance projects. The ideal candidate will bring deep Workday expertise, strong client relationship management skills, and a proven track record of leading enterprise-scale implementations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary engagement lead for Workday projects, ensuring alignment between client business goals and Workday solutions.
- Manage end-to-end program delivery across Workday HCM and/or Finance modules, including planning, scope, design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Oversee partner-side implementation teams, ensuring adherence to methodology, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Act as a trusted advisor to C-level executives and key stakeholders, driving strategic discussions and solution recommendations.
- Provide governance and oversight across multiple workstreams, ensuring effective collaboration between functional, technical, and integration teams.
- Build and nurture long-term client relationships, driving satisfaction, adoption, and account growth.
- Lead risk management, issue resolution, and change control processes to ensure project success.
- Mentor and guide consulting teams, promoting knowledge sharing and delivery excellence.
- Stay up to date with Workday product releases and innovations, advising clients on best practices and roadmap strategies.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8–12 years of progressive Workday experience, including leadership roles in partner-side implementations.
- Proven track record as an Engagement Manager, Program Manager, or Workday Delivery Lead.
- Strong understanding of Workday HCM and/or Finance, with experience across multiple modules.
- Demonstrated expertise in project governance, client engagement, and executive-level stakeholder management.
- Workday certification(s) required (HCM Core, Financials, or additional module certifications preferred).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple large-scale projects in complex, global environments.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Workday Extend, Reporting, BIRT, and advanced integrations.
- Background in a top-tier consulting firm or Workday partner ecosystem.
- Exposure to global rollouts and multi-country implementations.
