Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for providing ongoing technical support and maintenance for the Workday PSA functional areas, including configuration, business processes and related security.

  • Own the responsibility for the Global Service Desk ticket queue for PSA functional tickets. Ensure that tickets are resolved in a timely manner in accordance with applicable SLAs.

  • Gather requirements for improvements and new functionalities through collaboration with cross-functional business teams and develop the solution to meet the business needs.

  • Evaluate existing functionalities and ensure they continue to meet the needs of the business.

  • Monitor existing functionalities and troubleshoot and correct any errors or failures on a timely basis.

  • Collaborate with the Workday Integration Developer as the Workday PSA subject matter expert to support any related integrations.

  • Create and maintain process documents as needed.

  • Serve as the Workday PSA Lead for Workday projects, including optimization, implementation of new features and integrations of future acquisitions.

  • Create and document test scenarios to validate configuration, execute the test scenarios and / or provides the test scenarios to other teams for testing, provides inputs on PSA considerations and dependencies to the Testing Leads to ensure sufficient PSA testing coverage for acquisition integrations and other major changes to the system (releases, new functionality, etc.).

  • Support the process for review and testing of semi-annual Workday releases and ensure any issues identified in the PSA functional areas are researched and resolved during the release testing window.

  • Act as SME for Kainos SmartTest PSA testing.

  • Participate in the Workday Community and other resources, including training and user groups, to establish awareness of current trends, enhancements, releases, and system bugs.

  • Work closely with IT Service Management and the Workday Product Team to secure optimal uptime, performance, and usage of the product.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Necessary Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced knowledge in Workday PSA functional areas, including but not limited to Projects, Customer Contracts, Billing Schedules, and Project Billing.

  • Knowledge of Workday security structure as it relates to the above noted functional areas.

  • Comprehension of the interrelationships between the various functional areas within Workday.

  • Must have a can-do attitude along with an ability to learn new skills.

  • Motivated, possesses self-awareness and a demonstrated ability to collaborate with other high-performing team members.

  • Outstanding organizational, prioritization, multitasking, and time management skills.

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to drive projects, gather requirements, provide development estimates, and meet expected delivery timelines.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills needed to work effectively with non-technical functional team members and business owners.

  • Ability to adapt to multiple changing business priorities with calm and ease.

  • Motivated and have a demonstrated ability to collaborate with other high-performing team members.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science or similar, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years of direct experience configuring, maintaining, and optimizing Workday PSA functional areas.

  • Workday Time Tracking experience a plus.

  • Relevant Workday Certifications a plus.

  • A combination of implementation and operational experience is preferred.
