Description

Hawley Troxell is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Workers' Compensation Legal Administrative Assistant. The ideal candidate should have 2 years of experience in the legal field and an understanding of workers compensation law. Successful applicants will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume legal practice.

Responsibilities:

- Provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals in the workers compensation department

- Manage and organize case files, including filing and retrieving documents

- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for attorneys

- Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, and medical providers

- Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests

- Conduct legal research and compile information for cases

- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness lists

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred

- 2+ years of experience in a legal administrative assistant role, preferably in workers compensation

- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software programs

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
