THE ROLE

Snowflake has an opening for an adaptable, proactive and diligent Workplace Manager. The Bellevue office is Snowflake’s second largest office, newly built out in the Spring District community. With over 800+ employees, it is a bustling Engineering hub designed as the quintessential Snowflake experience. This role will remotely manage two other smaller offices in the region, Denver and Chicago.

You are an extremely thorough self-starter who possesses outstanding Workplace/Facility management & organizational skills, and who demonstrates diligence and attention to detail. You will be the linchpin of our Bellevue office and be critical to the smooth running of the workplace. You will be comfortable taking the initiative to drive results with minimal supervision, be solution-oriented, deal with ambiguity, rapid changes in priorities and short deadlines, and have the ability to coordinate with multiple cross-functional internal and external stakeholders and vendors.

Reporting to the Manager of Workplace Services, you will be integral in driving the development of facility operations and supporting the full Snowflake employee experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee Workplace operations & experience for offices in your region, ensuring successful day-to-day operations

  • Manage blended team of FTE’s and outsourced vendors

  • Partner with key internal stakeholders ensuring a seamless operation

  • Accountable for the upkeep of a clean, safe and functional work space for all employees through proactive programs and vendor management

  • Establish strong relationships and communication across all levels of the organization to understand and meet business needs

  • Support initiatives within the global Programs, i.e. Health & Safety, Food & Beverage, Technology, Sustainability, Security and Emergency Response Team

  • Support Construction and Build projects as part of the project team

  • Act as a liaison with Building Management for operations and maintenance

REQUIREMENTS:

SPECIFICALLY YOU WILL HAVE:
  • 5+ years of experience in Workplace/Facilities Management, preferably in a rapidly growing Tech company

  • 2+ years experience leading a team with proven mentorship & development skills

  • Industry degree and/or certifications (IFMA preferred)

  • Knowledge of building systems and proactive maintenance practices with hands-on maintenance experience

  • Available to be in the office during normal working hours and odd hours in case of emergency

  • Excellent track record of establishing relationships, influencing and negotiating competing priorities among business partners

  • Proven ability to deliver concise and simple written and verbal communications to cross-functional stakeholders

  • With a positive attitude & “can-do” mentality you will be an extremely adaptable, self-starter with excellent customer service skills

  • Strong experience with office moves and build-outs

  • Data-driven with a mindset of continual improvement

  • Willing to travel as necessary, and manage employees and work performed remotely

  • Strong work ethic, commitment to quality, & proven follow-through skills

  • Proficient with GSuite & Slack. Familiarity with Workday, ZIP, Envoy a bonus.
