We are seeking a skilled and experienced Workplace Project Manager to join our Global Workplace team. This role will be responsible for managing and overseeing various workplace projects, including office expansions, renovations, maintenance, and space planning. The Workplace Project Manager will ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with the company's operational and strategic goals. This position requires strong organizational skills, leadership, and the ability to manage multiple priorities, ensuring operational excellence across teams and locations. The Workplace Project Manager requires a strong familiarity with workplace operations and a keen understanding of real estate. This position requires extensive international travel and management of large vendor teams.

This role is remote, based out of the United States.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution: 

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple construction and facilities projects from conception to completion 
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies during project execution

Stakeholder Communication: 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all construction and facilities projects, ensuring clear and effective communication with internal stakeholders (executive team, department heads, employees) and external vendors (contractors, architects, suppliers) as well as local property management teams
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates on progress, risks, and budget forecasts

Vendor and Contractor Management: 

  • Source and manage third-party contractors, vendors, and suppliers, ensuring the quality and timely delivery of services 
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements, monitor vendor performance, and resolve any issues that may arise during project execution 

Space Planning and Workplace Optimization:

  • Work closely with internal workplace business partners to assess space requirements and develop space planning solutions that support company growth and operational needs 
  • Implement workplace optimization strategies to enhance the efficiency, functionality, and aesthetics of the work environment 

Global Alignment & Standardization

  • Collaborate with larger global workplace operations, IT, AV and Security teams to establish and maintain global workplace standards
  • Contribute to the global workplace operations team on creating and establishing the 'Office in a Box' program for new, smaller co-working offices worldwide

Compliance and Safety: 

  • Ensure all projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company safety standards 
  • Collaborate with the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) and physical security teams to ensure a safe working environment for employees and contractors during project execution 

Project Management

  • Collaborate with department heads to initiate and manage cross-functional projects 
  • Create detailed project plans, timelines, and task assignments, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and adjust plans as needed to keep projects on track 
  • Facilitate effective communication between teams, ensuring clarity of goals, roles, and expectations 
  • Coordinate with global offices to align project goals and strategies across locations
  • Track and report on project outcomes, providing updates to senior leadership 
  • Take on special projects related to swag, real estate and workplace operations

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of construction project management experience within a tech or fast-paced startup environment
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or related field
  • Tech-Savvy: High proficiency in office software and project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Asana, Trello, Slack, etc.) 
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and lead teams across multiple timezones and cultures. 
  • Problem Solving: Strong ability to anticipate challenges, find solutions, and execute under pressure 
  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience in managing teams and leading projects to successful completion 
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment and open-concept workspace

Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
