What they do: Blue Nile is an online retailer of diamonds and fine jewelry.

Diamond status: In July, Blue Nile CEO Sean Kell revealed to WWD his lofty expectations for the company. “We really think we are trying to be a billion-dollar (in revenue) fine jewelry destination. The shift is trying to make a company that started as an engagement ring website transition to a billion-dollar fine jewelry brand and that is the big change — that’s the long-term goal,” Kell said.

Office fun: Blue Nile’s work culture features happy hours, family picnics, flexible working hours, team events and most interestingly of all, a monthly waffle club, which is as literal and tasty as it sounds.

Company benefits: Such as remote work flexibility, health benefits and 401(K) match.

Coding with a purpose: Part of the culture at EagleView is giving back. Every year, the company participates in an event where a group of employees teach children in the community how to code. The company also dedicates time to help its community in other, greener ways, from spring cleaning to landscaping.

They’re hiring: EagleView is looking to fill roles across engineering, project management, product, design, data and analytics, marketing, sales and more.

Company values: Such as “trust and candor,” “alignment and accountability,” and “relentlessness and humility.”

The move also complements the company’s recent acquisition of Squiggle Park, a K-2 reading solution.

“These strategic additions to the DreamBox family represent a significant milestone toward achieving our mission to radically change the way the world learns and unlock learning potential for all students – regardless of race, gender or ZIP code,” Jessie Woolley-Wilson, president and CEO of DreamBox Learning, said in a press release.

Tech stack: DreamBox Learning uses Java, JavaScript, Python, R, Ruby and SQL for languages, along with AngularJS, Backbone.js, Node.js, Ruby on Rails and Spring for frameworks.

“This breakthrough technology is a game changer for in-car cameras,” Blake Bullock, director of Axon Fleet, said in the press release. “We’ve substantially elevated the simple in-car dash camera to one that can automatically and simultaneously scan plates across multiple lanes of traffic at closing speeds up to 140 mph.”
