937- Jr Accountant

We need an English-fluent Jr Accountant, based in Latin America, available to work remotely.
We are looking for someone with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, who embraces changes while maintaining strong attention to detail. An interested and proactive person, who's constantly learning and improving their skills.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage general ledger entries, ensuring all financial data is recorded accurately and on time.
• Perform account reconciliations, including bank accounts, receivables, payables, and other accounts as required.
• Support the senior accounting team with financial audits by preparing relevant documentation and providing necessary data.
• Maintain and update accounting records and files.
• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status for management review.
• Ensure compliance with all internal processes and external financial regulations, including tax filings and statutory reporting.
• Assist in processing payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable as needed.
• Help prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Collaborate with other departments on cross-functional financial initiatives and projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification is a plus but not required.
• 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance is preferred but not mandatory for entry- level candidates.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and auditing standards (GAAP, IFRS).
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

It´s a Plus:

• Familiarity with financial systems such as XERO, SAP, Oracle, or other ERP platforms.
• Experience in working with tax filings and payroll accounting.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and tax regulations.
