The Account Executive manages the full sales cycle, builds brand pipelines, forecasts revenue, engages clients, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive sales.
Perion is a global advertising technology company delivering solutions to the biggest brands and publishers around the globe across search, social media and display, video, CTV, and programmatic DOOH.
Home to an award-winning technology solution –– with our unique data-driven AI/ML based technologies, we deliver and optimize hundreds of terabytes of data and billions of events per day. We’re working with dozens of sources to provide a superior experience across screens and platforms, including mobile, video, social and native.
OutMax is Perion's AI-powered optimization layer for paid social, sitting on top of the platforms buyers already use — YouTube, Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, The Trade Desk — and making every dollar they spend work harder. The product is live, it delivers measurable lift, and the US market is largely untapped. We're hiring the person who will own that opportunity from end to end.
This role is open to candidates across the US. You'll lead OutMax's brand-direct sales motion, carry your own book of strategic accounts, build the pipeline from the ground up, and be accountable for revenue delivery against quarterly and annual targets. This is a hunter role in a greenfield territory, inside a publicly traded company (Nasdaq: PERI) that moves at startup speed.
What you'll be doing
- Own the full sales cycle for OutMax's US brand-direct business, from cold prospecting through negotiation and close, without reliance on inbound volume or SDR support
- Sell OutMax as a custom bidding and optimization layer on top of buyers' existing DSPs, not as a media buy or a platform replacement, and defend that value proposition credibly with both CMOs and skeptical traders
- Build and manage a pipeline of brand prospects across CPG, retail, financial services, pharma, and tech, targeting programmatic and digital media decision-makers at Fortune 500 and mid-market companies
- Deliver against quarterly and annual revenue targets with consistent forecast accuracy, maintaining disciplined CRM hygiene and reporting pipeline progress to leadership weekly
- Partner with Marketing on demand-generation programs including events, webinars, and co-branded content to fill top-of-funnel, and coordinate with Sales Engineering, Account Management, and Client Success to ensure clean handoffs from signed deal to live deployment
- Contribute structured market intelligence and competitive insights to Product and Leadership to inform roadmap decisions and sharpen positioning
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of proven experience in B2B sales in paid social, digital advertising, or adtech, with direct exposure to buying or selling on or alongside YouTube, Meta, TikTok, or equivalent paid social platforms
- Solid understanding of paid media fundamentals including ROAS, CPA, CPM, reach and frequency, brand lift, and incrementality, with the ability to speak credibly to performance marketing buyers about what they're actually optimizing for
- Demonstrated ability to own a full sales cycle and carry individual quota, with a track record of pipeline self-generation and outbound prospecting at Director level and above
- Strong communication skills, able to simplify a technical value proposition for a marketing executive and hold a detailed methodology conversation with a skeptical trader in the same meeting
- Fluent English, written and spoken
- Available for domestic travel of approximately 20–30%
Nice to have
- Previous experience selling AI-driven optimization, custom bidding, or measurement products, with comfort defending an AI or ML value proposition under technical scrutiny
- Familiarity with programmatic fundamentals including DSP seat access, custom bidding APIs, and auction mechanics
- Experience working in a startup or founder-led environment where processes were being built rather than inherited
