Support Account Executives and Producers on workers' compensation renewals and servicing: gather renewal specs and loss runs, complete ACORD applications, coordinate with carriers, prepare renewal documents, confirm binders and invoicing, assist with claims and RMIS access, monitor audits and expirations, perform data entry in Epic, and participate in client stewardship and claim calls.

The Account Manager, Workers Compensation assists the Account Executives and Producers with marketing and servicing of new and renewal business. Coordinate with production team and insurance carriers to facilitate a successful client renewals as well.
The Account Manager, Workers Compensation assists the Account Executives and Producers with marketing and servicing of new and renewal business. Coordinate with production team and insurance carriers to facilitate a successful client renewals as well.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Discuss Renewal strategies with Producer, Marketing Strategy
- Prepare for Renewal Outputs
- Obtain Renewal Specs from client 120 days prior to renewal (payroll, employee counts, supplemental applications, etc.)
- Obtain updated loss runs
- Obtain current Experience Mod Worksheet
- Review Certificate Holder list, send to Client
- Review Ownership structure and update per Client information
- Complete marketing submission (Acord applications, supplemental applications, loss runs, etc.)
- Follow up with markets until quotes received
- Creating Renewal documents 30 days prior to renewal
- Confirm coverage is bound, send binder to client
- Confirm payment options, complete invoicing unless Direct Bill, obtain premium financing quote if needed
- Complete premium allocation spreadsheets for clients (by location, installment)
- Assist client with claim filing procedures, online RMIS system access, Nurse Triage program access
- Follow up with Carrier for Policy, QC policy data, send to Client
- Monitor for Carrier completion of audits, obtain audit detail to determine if it needs to be elevated to Producer for review/appeal
- Obtain monthly loss runs, send to Client and Producer to review for adverse trends
- Monitor Unit Stat dates, Request new Experience Mod Worksheets
- Ad Hoc data entry in Epic
- Participate in Claim Calls
- Participate in Stewardship Meeting Calls (Monthly calls we have with clients to review any current account activity, trends, etc.)
- Update client information as needed, including new exposure (class code) requests, payroll changes, additions/deletions of locations and ownership changes.
- Communicate with Carriers on clients’ changes in business.
- Follow up with Carrier for any necessary endorsements to policy
- Keep Clients updated on activity and status of resolving issues through consistent communication
- Understand how client changes (ownership, acquisitions, divestitures, etc.) impact coverage and proactively be able to discuss with client
- Handle Ad Hoc requests for Certificates of Insurance, endorsements
- Monitor expiration dates of all policies
- New Client Orientation
- Set up Epic
- Work with Producer to obtain copies of policies from Carriers
- Request and review prior broker’s Schedule of Insurance, recreate from CAC
- Request and review certificate copies and an Excel schedule, update as needed and import into eCerts
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Two to three years account management experience required
- Worker’s Compensation experience is required
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to efficiently handle multiple, simultaneous, and complex tasks and projects
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality
Salary: $75-85k salary range plus bonus opportunity and benefits. This information reflects the anticipated range for this position. Actual salary may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
