Account Manager  Position Summary

The Account Manager (AM) is responsible for solving critical business challenges and cultivating new and expanded customer relationships. This role focuses on understanding the customer's environment and aligning Ricoh solutions with mission-critical goals and objectives through strategic relationship building with key decision-makers and influencers.

Key Responsibilities Business Development

  • Drive business development efforts within new and existing accounts to increase Ricoh's market share.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer environments, business objectives, and challenges.
  • Build relationships with decision-makers and influencers to uncover and create new sales opportunities.
  • Identify and solve critical business challenges through research, discovery, and strategic questioning.
  • Focus on understanding how customers make buying decisions rather than solely what they are purchasing, ensuring solutions are aligned with their business needs.

Customer Engagement & Solution Selling

  • Differentiate Ricoh's ability to accelerate digital transformation through effective storytelling and consultative selling.
  • Uncover opportunities that align with Ricoh's portfolio of solutions and services.
  • Articulate the financial and operational impact of purchasing decisions.
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations, both virtually and in person.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in all customer interactions.
  • Position is commission eligible

Qualifications Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven business development or sales experience required.
  • Experience within an IT, software, or technology services environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of document workflow solutions and business process optimization preferred.
  • Foundational understanding of Profit & Loss (P&L) components.

Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to research and analyze customer organizations to support meaningful business conversations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple accounts while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Strong collaboration skills with a demonstrated ability to build influence across stakeholders.
  • Understanding of solution design and consultative selling processes.
  • Ability to bring thought leadership and strategic insights to customer engagements.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Proven success developing and maintaining professional relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Commitment to staying current on Ricoh's products, solutions, and service offerings.
  • Ability to assess customer environments and develop strategies to expand Ricoh's core services across the enterprise.
  • Strong learning agility and adaptability.
  • Skilled at navigating customer approval processes while building sponsors and advocates within the organization.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Primarily office-based environment with standard lighting, ventilation, temperature, and noise levels.
  • Work involves interpreting, analyzing, and applying complex information, data, and instructions.
  • Ability to prepare, present, and communicate diverse information to various audiences.
  • Minimal physical demands; work is largely sedentary but may require occasional walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting or carrying items up to 10 pounds.
  • Moderate manual dexterity required for regular use of computers, keyboards, calculators, and other office equipment.
  • Approximately 20% travel required, including occasional overnight travel.
