Strategic Growth Partners is committed to upholding our company values and ensuring data confidentiality. We provide robust IT solutions to our clients across multiple time zones and foster a collaborative, innovative, and diverse work environment.

Strategic Growth Partners (SGP) is seeking a highly qualified Account Executive to own the day-to-day client relationship and keep delivery running smoothly across our team of specialist contractors.

This is the senior operating role beneath the President. You are the person clients call, the person the contractor team coordinates around, and the person who makes sure work ships on time and to company standard. If you're organized, client-facing, and comfortable running the operating rhythm of a multi-account book, you'll have ownership from day one.

Status: Remote, Full-time, exempt

Reports to: President

Division: Non-Traditional Business Development

Directs the work of: Production analyst, technical writers, and assigned 1099 contractors

Compensation: $100K per year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main day-to-day point of contact for an assigned portfolio of client accounts, building trusted relationships and keeping clients informed and confident.

  • Attend and lead weekly client status calls, capturing actions, decisions, and next steps.

  • Produce weekly status reports for clients and internal leadership, tracking deliverables, deadlines, and account health.

  • Manage and coordinate the 1099 contractor team (business development, production, market research, and technical writing): assign work, set priorities, and hold the team to quality and deadlines.

  • Own the client book and use-case architecture: understand each client's mission and needs, and translate them into the right scope and deliverables.

  • Act as the escalation point of contact for client issues, resolving problems quickly and looping in leadership when needed.

  • Coordinate delivery across the production layer to keep every account moving.

  • Partner with leadership on account strategy, renewals, and close.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in account management, client success, project management, or a comparable client-facing operating role.

  • Experience in government contracting required.

  • Experience in professional services, or a similar delivery environment (strongly preferred).

  • Proven ability to manage contractors or cross-functional contributors and keep multiple workstreams on schedule.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable leading client calls and writing clear status reports.

  • Highly organized and self-directed, with strong follow-through and attention to detail.

  • Calm and credible under pressure; a natural escalation point clients and teammates trust.

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with state, and local (SLED) procurement, contracts, or compliance.

  • Experience with business development support, and non-traditional contracting practices (SBIR’s, OTA’s).

  • Prior experience owning a book of accounts.

Working Model:

Full-time, remote-friendly, with availability aligned to client call schedules. Coordination with offshore production support requires comfort with asynchronous hand-offs and clear written direction.

SGP is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce. We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer, making decisions without regard to race, color, religion, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, national origin, age, veteran status, disability, or any other protected class. We are committed to a collaborative, inclusive environment that encourages authenticity and fosters a sense of belonging. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
