PermitFlow is redefining how America builds. We’re an applied AI company serving the nation’s builders, tackling one of the largest information challenges in the economy: understanding what can be built, where, and how. Our AI agent workforce helps the fastest-growing construction companies navigate everything from permitting and licensing to inspections and project closeouts – accelerating housing, clean-energy, and infrastructure development across the country.

Despite being a $1.6T industry, construction still suffers from massive delays, wasted capital, and lost opportunity. PermitFlow has already delivered unprecedented speed, accuracy, and visibility to over $20B in development, helping contractors reduce compliance time, de-risk projects, and scale with confidence.

As the U.S. enters a new capex supercycle across data centers, factories, housing, and renewables, joining PermitFlow means building the AI infrastructure at the core of every construction project driving the next wave of reindustrialization.

We’ve raised over $90M, most recently completing our Series B, from top-tier investors including Accel, Kleiner Perkins, Initialized, Y Combinator, Felicis, and Altos Ventures, with backing from leaders at OpenAI, Google, Procore, ServiceTitan, Zillow, PlanGrid, and Uber.

The Role:
  • You will own the permit research and submission process from start to finish. That means reading requirements, verifying information with US government offices, building tasks in our system, coordinating with customers to gather documents, submitting permits, and following up until the job is closed.

  • This is not a general admin or data entry role. The work requires accuracy, independent judgment, and clear written and verbal communication in English. You will be working directly with US-based Operations Leads and communicating with government offices on behalf of our customers.

What You'll Do:
  • Research permit requirements using our internal database, AI tools, and direct government contact.

  • Make outbound calls to US government offices to verify requirements and follow up on submissions.

  • Build and track permit tasks in our system from open to close.

  • Coordinate with customers to collect required documents and information.

  • Submit permits to government portals and handle follow-up questions.

  • Maintain accurate, organized documentation throughout.

What We Are Looking For:
  • At least 2 years of experience in an administrative, BPO, VA, or operations role.

  • Strong English communication — written and spoken. You will be on calls with US government offices and customers.

  • High accuracy. Small mistakes in this work have real consequences.

  • Organized and self-directed. You manage multiple open tasks without being chased.

  • Comfortable using AI tools — and understands when not to trust them.

  • Reliable equipment: laptop or desktop with Intel Core i5 or better, 8GB RAM minimum, stable internet with a backup connection, noise-cancelling microphone.

Schedule and Compensation
  • 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

  • Night shift hours: 9 PM to 5 AM your local time (aligned to US business hours).

  • Contract position — no benefits or PTO.

  • Pay: Pay: $3.50–$7.00/hr depending on location and experience.

What the Application Process Looks Like
  1. Application and video introduction

  2. Criteria Corp assessment

  3. Take-home assignment

  4. Final interview with a recruiter

We move quickly. If your application is complete and meets our requirements, you will hear from us within a few days.

And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
