  • Grow Globally: Expand your career on a global stage, learning how business works across different cultures and continents.

About the Role
TeamFicient is looking for an AI Engineer to build our conversational-AI stack: outbound voice, chatbot, and call-audit/intelligence systems. All three projects share the same core stack — LLM integration, telephony/audio pipelines, and CRM/API integration — so a strong conversational-AI/ML engineer can move across all three. This is a solo, fixed-scope engagement: you own execution end to end, with IT touchpoints and management check-ins only as needed. You'll submit your own RFQ (proposed approach, timeline, hours, and cost) as part of the process.

Core Responsibilities
Voice & Chat Build

  • Design dynamic (non-scripted) conversation flows for outbound sales/follow-up calls and a support/sales chatbot, including intent handling, objection handling, and human escalation logic

  • Build knowledge-base structures and content-update processes for the chatbot

Call Intelligence

  • Transcribe and evaluate existing calls (Zoom Phone / AWS workflow) — scoring tone, sentiment, professionalism, and compliance against defined QA criteria

Integration & Architecture

  • Integrate call/chat outcomes, transcripts, and summaries with GoHighLevel and/or CRM systems

  • Design for future portability across telephony providers (8x8, Vonage, RingCentral, Ooma) and future client-facing deployment

  • Maintain restricted access and data-protection standards for customer call data

Candidate Qualifications
Must-Haves

  • Experience building conversational AI systems (voice and/or chat) on an LLM platform — not just scripted IVR/decision-tree bots

  • Experience with audio transcription and speech-based AI pipelines (OpenAI, Gemini, AWS, or similar)

  • CRM/telephony API integration experience (GoHighLevel or comparable)

  • Strong understanding of data security/restricted-access handling for call recordings

Good to Haves

  • Experience with sentiment/speech analytics tooling specifically

  • Prior work productizing an internal AI tool for external/client use

  • VoIP/telephony API experience (Twilio, Vonage, etc.) beyond GHL

Application Requirements
To apply for this project, please be prepared to submit:

  • A portfolio of relevant, comparable work

  • An RFQ (Request for Quotation) covering:

    • What you propose to do

    • How you would do it

    • What's included (and what's excluded)

    • Estimated timeline and hours

    • Total cost, plus any additional/recurring costs

    • What you'll need from TeamFicient to execute

    • Risks, limitations, and assumptions

  • Willingness to sign an NDA and Project Agreement before receiving full project details and credentials

  • Willingness to undergo a background check

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
