SET THE COURSE

The Assistant Marketing Manager is an integral member of our Marketing team, supporting the planning and execution of integrated, omnichannel marketing campaigns that reinforce the Tommy Bahama brand and drive customer engagement. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams — including Creative, Digital, Retail, E-commerce, and Merchandising — to bring campaigns to life from concept through delivery. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented marketer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings both strategic curiosity and operational rigor to their work.

BE THE ISLAND GUIDE

Function

  • Support Sr. Marketing Manager across all job functions, as directed.
  • Assist development, maintenance, and communication of campaign and project schedules, calendars, briefs, toolkits, materials, reporting, and expenses.
  • Participate in the concept, strategy, creative review process, and end-to-end execution of campaigns.
  • Coordinate multiple, simultaneous tasks and projects on tight timelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to manage campaign timelines, deliverables, and dependencies, ensuring projects stay on track and meet deadlines.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance data; synthesize insights from multiple sources and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Maintain and organize marketing project plans, calendars, and documentation to ensure visibility across the team.
  • Build and maintain marketing decks, reporting summaries, and toolkits for internal stakeholders and leadership review.
  • Stay informed on marketing trends, competitive activity, and emerging best practices; proactively share relevant insights with the team.
  • Contribute to planning, communication, and operational cohesion across all Tommy Bahama marketing channels.

ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISE

Education and Certifications, Experience and Skills, Competencies

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, related field preferred or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience, with meaningful time spent in a marketing capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to multifaceted, integrated, or omnichannel marketing campaigns, whether managing a single component collaboratively or owning a broader workstream.
  • Strong working knowledge of core marketing concepts and fundamentals, including go-to-market strategy, marketing tactics, customer journey, and database marketing.
  • Exceptional project management skills: ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, work with urgency, anticipate deadlines, and proactively flag risks or blockers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel:
    • Experience working with data sets of varying size and complexity.
    • Ability to pull insights by synthesizing data from multiple inputs and sources.
    • Skilled in creating summaries and presenting findings to stakeholders.
    • Comfortable using formulas and pivot tables to prepare and extract data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint:
    • Experienced in building presentations ranging from multi-page decks to concise one-sheets.
    • Ability to distill complex information into clear, audience-appropriate narratives.
    • Strong attention to visual presentation and storytelling.
  • High level of organization, with great attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and assignments simultaneously under the pressure of tight deadlines
  • Familiar with or comfortable learning: SharePoint, Teams, Zoom, Smartsheet, project management applications.
  • Maintains a growth mindset, with eagerness to learn, receptivity to feedback and direction, and willingness to adapt.

Multiple factors will vary the applicable rate of pay for this role, including an individual’s experience, knowledge, and skillset, as well as work location and available budget.

Rate Range: $25.00 to $38.00 hourly
