Responsible for a blend of internal delivery activities and client facing functions; working independently on assigned Middle Market accounts with guidance as needed from Senior Account Executive/Team Lead and Complex accounts with direction from Senior Account Executive/Team Lead. Backup for Senior Account Manager responsibilities.
Responsible for a blend of internal delivery activities and client facing functions; working independently on assigned Middle Market accounts with guidance as needed from Senior Account Executive/Team Lead and Complex accounts with direction from Senior Account Executive/Team Lead. - Service all aspects of the renewal process, new business preparation and ongoing needs for clients and prospects; works along with Producers, Account Executives, Claims and other team members
- Responsible for all account service functions from the start of the renewal process including, but not limited to:
- Request and compile necessary information in advance of renewal strategy meeting (e.g. summary of account activity, loss summaries, state of the market information, etc.)
- Requests apps and renewal expectations from the underwriters; obtaining necessary renewal materials from incumbent/new insurance carriers including, but not limited to, any applications and supplemental information required for underwriting purposes (e.g. audited financial statements, organizational charts, etc.)
- Set-up internal/external renewal strategy meetings with Senior AE/Producer and client
- Participation in internal/external renewal strategy meetings
- Request renewal data from the client – exposure workbook, applications, etc., reviews the data for changes when it is received back; forward renewal request materials to the client, while managing renewal deadline, following-up as needed with client for requested renewal data
- Once client renewal data is received, coordinate the client submission materials for distribution to Senior AE/underwriters
- Coordinate scheduling for group/individual meetings between the client and insurers
- Create client proposal to include, but not limited to quote analysis, marketing summary, coverage, and financial comparisons for review by senior team members
- Determine if Premium Financing is needed and obtain quotes
- Complete binding process – review binder for accuracy, process binder and invoices in EPIC, create confirmation/evidence of coverage for delivery to client noting any subjectivities and issuance of invoice to client
- Ensure completion of internal/external Surplus Lines requirements (invoicing and diligence as necessary)
- Manage the certificate renewal process with clients to determine requirements and insure timely and accurate issuance
- Second pair of eyes review on checked policy(ies)
- Day to day client service including, but not limited to:
- Respond to mid-term client inquiries/requests in partnership with other service and broking colleagues
- Request carrier endorsement; ensure timely and accurate completion of endorsement requests
- Resolve client level accounting issues including discrepancies and fee agreements
- Insurance Contract Reviews with assistance as necessary
- Maintain record/management of expiration dates on assigned accounts and coordinate with the CAC client team on new/renewal process/timeline
- Maintain and manage open items listings with clients and team
- Strong understanding of all coverages serviced by the team
- Establish and maintain a good business relationship with clients, insurance carriers and colleagues
- Maintain accurate policy detail in Agency Management System
- Directs and reviews work of Junior Account Manager with guidance as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of relevant work experience required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality
- Ability to train other team members in duties & responsibilities of Junior Account Manager role
- Manage assigned duties with independent decision-making authority
- Proactive and can separate and combine tasks into efficient workflow
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail & time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products to include Word, Excel & PowerPoint
