About your team:

Our Marketing team spans brand, content, social, customer marketing, events, and partnerships, all working together to build a world-class brand creators love and to drive awareness, engagement, and growth. We connect with new and existing audiences across every channel and turn strategy into work that people feel, from the story on the page to the room at a live event.

What is the role?

We're looking for a Brand & Events Manager to own how Teachable looks, feels, and shows up in the world, on screen and in the room. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for our brand identity and guardrails, our events program, our creative output, and the corporate partnerships that grow Teachable's reach and credibility.

You'll be the guardian of the brand, making sure everything we put out is cohesive, high-quality, and unmistakably Teachable, and you'll own the moments where creators experience the brand in person. You'll partner closely with our Content Strategy Lead, who owns content and social, so brand and content move as one system.

This role reports to the Head of Marketing and works closely with Content, Customer Marketing, Partnerships, Product, and Growth. You'll lead a small team of designers and an events coordinator, and own our external creative agency relationships.

We're a hybrid team and encourage NYC-based team members to work from our office 1 to 2 days per week.

In this role, you will:
  • Own and protect the Teachable brand, our voice, visual identity, and guardrails, ensuring a consistent through-line across every channel, campaign, and experience
  • Own our events program end to end, creator gatherings, field activations, virtual summits, and content shoots, setting strategy and creative direction while your events coordinator drives logistics and on-the-ground execution
  • Set and hold the creative bar across design, leading your design team and external creative partners to keep output on-brand and high-quality
  • Build and manage corporate partnerships that extend the brand's reach and credibility
  • Partner with our Content Strategy Lead to keep brand and content aligned, and with Growth on brand and full-funnel campaigns
  • Work cross-functionally with Customer Marketing, Partnerships, Product, and Finance to keep brand and events tied to business goals and measurable against them
  • Define and track success metrics across brand health and event impact, using data to sharpen the work over time
What you'll bring:
  • 5+ years in brand, creative, integrated marketing, or events, including experience managing people and vendors
  • A strong portfolio with range: brand building, brand or full-funnel campaigns, and events that feel like the brand
  • Proven experience running live events or activations end to end, including budgets and vendors, without dropping the creative bar
  • Experience owning brand guardrails and leading designers or external creative partners
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to influence cross-functionally
  • Excellent creative judgment and communication skills
  • Passion for helping creators, entrepreneurs, and small business owners grow their impact
Nice to have:
  • Experience working in SaaS or the creator economy
  • Corporate or brand partnership experience
  • Experience representing a brand across social, webinars, and community-facing events

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
