We believe that mental health is just as important as physical health. We recognize that mental health issues can be complex and multifaceted, and we are dedicated to treating the whole person, not just the symptoms.

We aim to create a world where mental health is no longer stigmatized or marginalized, but rather is embraced as an integral part of one's overall well-being.

We believe that by providing quality care that is both evidence-based and compassionate, we can empower individuals to take charge of their mental health and achieve their full potential. We are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of those struggling with mental health issues and we strive to be a force for positive change in the field of mental healthcare.

Rula is a remote-first company. We currently hire in most U.S. states, with the exception of Hawaii.

About the Role

Great design can make a complex story clear, turn an introduction into a trusted relationship, and help someone take the first step toward mental healthcare. We’re seeking a Brand Designer to join Rula’s Creative Studio team, bringing that thinking to work that connects Rula with employers, healthcare providers, and the people they serve. You’ll primarily support B2B marketing, translating audience insights and strategic messaging into compelling creative across campaigns, digital experiences, print, and events. You’ll also contribute to projects across the Creative Studio, helping shape how the Rula brand shows up as we work toward becoming the most trusted brand in behavioral health.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in brand, visual, or marketing design within an in-house team, agency, or freelance practice.

  • A portfolio demonstrating strong design fundamentals, including typography, composition, hierarchy, and use of imagery, across digital and print work.

  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud, with experience preparing files for digital delivery and print production.

  • Experience collaborating with writers, marketers, and other designers, presenting your thinking, and incorporating feedback.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, explain design decisions and tradeoffs clearly, and maintain consistent quality within agreed timelines.

  • Experience independently owning campaign design from an audience-informed brief through concept, production, and delivery, with creative leadership feedback.

  • Experience supporting B2B marketing, sales enablement, or partner marketing, including campaigns that connect business-facing and consumer-facing audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

While having the preferred qualifications enhances your candidacy, having all of them is not mandatory. We encourage all interested applicants to apply, even those who may not meet every preferred requirement.

  • Experience in healthcare or another field where clarity, trust, and sensitivity are central to the work.

  • Motion design or animation skills, with experience bringing brand ideas to life through movement across digital campaigns and other touchpoints.

  • Experience using AI strategically to streamline design workflows and expand creative exploration at scale, with thoughtful judgment about where it adds value and how to maintain quality.

  • Experience building templates, asset libraries, or modular design systems that support customization and efficient production.

We're serious about your well-being! As part of our team, full-time employees receive:

  • 100% remote work environment: Working hours to support a healthy work-life balance, ensuring you can meet both professional and personal commitments (must be based in United States, currently not hiring in Hawaii)

  • Attractive pay and benefits: Full transparency of pay ranges regardless of where you live in the United States

  • Comprehensive health benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and FSA/HSA

  • 401(k) plan access: Start saving for your future

  • Generous time-off policies: Including 2 company-wide shutdown weeks each year for self-care (for most employees)

  • Paid parental leave: Available for all parents, including birthing, non-birthing, adopting, and fostering

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Supporting your mental and physical health

  • Quarterly department stipend: Fun team-building activities or in-person gatherings

  • Community and employee resource groups: Participate in groups that celebrate employee identity and lived experiences, fostering a sense of community and belonging for all

  • Home office stipend: New hire home office stipend & $50 monthly stipend to help cover internet or cell phone expenses

  • Wellness at Rula program: Year-round wellness initiatives and a $50/month wellness stipend

Our team

We believe that diversity, equity, and inclusion are fundamental to our mission of making mental healthcare work for everyone.  We are dedicated to having a culture of inclusion that will support our employees in feeling safe, seen, heard, and valued.

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
