Business Development Representative II 

We have an opportunity for a Business Development Representative, located in Tacoma, Washington to join our AMS Business Development team, reporting to the Manager of Business Development Representatives - West. In this pivotal role, you will develop quality lead pipelines of net new and existing business opportunities through a hybrid of inbound and outbound prospecting and qualified meetings. Collaborating closely with sales, marketing and wider business units, you will develop your knowledge of Infoblox's network and security solutions and join an organization on the peak of rapid growth. Be a Contributor — What you’ll do:  

  • Initiate contact with potential leads using targeted outreach strategies and leverage BANT criteria to evaluate prospect suitability   
  • Engage in proactive outreach activities to build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities, aiming to surpass daily activity and opportunity conversion targets   
  • Leverage AI-powered tools and platforms (e.g., Glean, Microsoft Copilot, and sales technology solutions) to enhance prospect research, account prioritization, outreach effectiveness, and overall sales development productivity 
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of Infoblox technology to effectively communicate value propositions and act as a knowledgeable point of contact for prospects and channel   
  • Record and manage prospect interactions and progress within Salesforce, ensuring all data is current and actionable   
  • Set up appointments with potential clients that align with both the prospect's interest and the Sales team's capacity   
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to tailor outreach efforts, align on target markets, and coordinate on the strategic approach to new business acquisition   
  • Prepare detailed briefs encompassing budget considerations, key decision-makers, and project scope to ensure a smooth transition of opportunities to the Sales team   
  • Oversee and sustain outbound efforts across multiple states within the designated region, adapting tactics to strategic business and regional considerations   
  • Conduct consistent follow-ups and debriefs with territory managers and Sales executives to refine tactics and maintain alignment post-client interactions   

Be Prepared — What You Bring:   

  • 2-4 years of experience in sales development, business development, or inside sales role; software sales experience highly preferred 
  • Prior experience with within Public Sector and SLED environments is highly desirable 
  • Demonstrated success independently turning sales and marketing strategies into qualified leads   
  • Excellent working knowledge and experience with tools like Salesforce, Salesloft, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and 6sense 
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively incorporate AI as a productivity accelerator while maintaining sound judgment and critical thinking 
  • Motivation and a detail–orientated approach to your work to ensure every follow-up is consistently executed at the highest standard   
  • Passion for sales and building relationships that put the customer or prospect first  
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Political Science, International Relations) is required  

Be Successful — Your Path 

First 90 Days:  Immerse in our culture, connect with mentors, and map the systems and stakeholders that rely on your work. 

Six Months:  Understand the trends by employee size/vertical/solution, craft your own prospecting programs and messaging, present your quarterly business plans & results to the region you support, and meet or exceed your monthly/quarterly targets.

One Year:  Master Infoblox product knowledge, proficient in CRM management and reporting, an expert in the current tech stack, demonstrate continuous success working cross-functionally with stakeholders, and establish a strong foundation to begin career development conversations.
