About the Role

We’re looking for ambitious Business Development Representatives who want to build elite sales careers.

At Enertiv, BDRs are not just appointment setters. They are pipeline builders and strategic partners to Account Executives, responsible for creating momentum within target accounts and helping move deals forward.

This role is designed for people who want to become Account Executives within 12–24 months. The fastest way to get there is by mastering the fundamentals: identifying opportunities, creating conversations, and building multi-threaded relationships inside complex accounts.

Location: Remote, United States

Compensation: $65k Base, $125k OTE

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Generating qualified pipeline through outbound email, phone, and LinkedIn outreach
  • Researching target accounts and identifying key decision makers
  • Booking qualified meetings for Account Executives
  • Supporting mid-funnel deal progression by mapping contacts within active accounts
  • Drafting multi-threaded outreach to expand engagement across buying committees
  • Partnering closely with AEs to maintain momentum on active deals
  • Holding AEs accountable to follow-ups and next steps when needed

Success in this role is defined by clear performance outcomes:

  • 12 meetings booked per month
  • 7 Sales Accepted Opportunities per month
  • 2 Sales Qualified Opportunities per month

Qualifications

We’re less focused on years of experience and more focused on drive, discipline, and curiosity.

Strong candidates typically have:

  • 0–2 years of experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles
  • Strong written communication skills, particularly for personalized outreach
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Comfort with outbound prospecting and rejection
  • Ability to research companies and stakeholders effectively
  • Interest in enterprise sales and complex B2B deal cycles
  • A strong desire to grow into an Account Executive role within 1–2 years

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with CRM and sales enablement tools (we use Zoho)
  • Experience with outbound prospecting tools (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, FullEnrich, etc.)
  • Exposure to real estate, proptech, or sustainability

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
