Your Role:
- As the Business Development Specialist, you must love working in a support role, facilitating the sales process and helping the team to achieve their annual new families helped/revenue goals.
- Own the prospect journey (eventually prequalifying prospects), pipeline integrity, assist the team with collection and entry of prospective client information, attach relevant notes, schedule meetings and assign tasks, and create service agreements, leveraging Salesforce.
- Create and update business development proposals and presentation materials.
- Provide calendar management and scheduling support as it relates to business development for the team.
- Provide recurring operations, sales support and analysis such as developing reports, dashboards and ad hoc sales reporting.
- Attend and participate in sales team meetings.
- Coordinate regular (weekly or monthly) reporting on performance against target as well as activity reports.
- Collaborate with Business Development team members across the country and share best practices with the local team.
- Collaborate with multiple departments for the creation of prospect-facing materials.
- Conduct prospect research using various sources (LinkedIn as an example).
- Assist in other special projects as needed.
Your Experience:
- Undergraduate degree required; Marketing or Business degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years professional experience; in sales, marketing and/or sales operations support preferred.
- Commitment to excellence, attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills.
- Positive attitude, versatility and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects at the same time while meeting deadlines.
- Self-motivated / starter with the ability to work independently and inside of a team environment.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce & MS Suite.
- Experience interacting with external prospects and supporting internal teammates.
- This role is an in-office, full-time, and exempt position. We are a work from office culture with a lot of flexibility.
Compensation:
- Targeted base salary range is $70,000 - $100,000/year.
- Variable compensation: 2% of Team New Client Annualized Run Rate Revenues in each BD Year. Prorated based on start date. The business development year is defined as 10/1 to 9/30.
