Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Manufacturing and Safety is seeking an Experienced or Senior Business Process Analyst to serve as the Epic Owner for manufacturing applications within the Automation & Operations domain in Everett, Auburn and Renton, Washington on Shift 1.
The role sits at the intersection of business, manufacturing operations, and IT/product development: you will support large cross-functional initiatives (epics) that deliver capability improvements across ERP/MES/PLM and related systems. You will translate business strategy into prioritized delivery, coordinate across stakeholders, and ensure epics are decomposed into features and stories that deliver measurable operational value.

You will translate business strategy into prioritized delivery, coordinate across stakeholders, and ensure epics are decomposed into features and stories that deliver measurable operational value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as Epic Owner: define vision, goals, scope, acceptance criteria, success metrics, and high-level roadmap for assigned epics
- Lead cross-functional discovery with manufacturing stakeholders (operations, quality, engineering, supply chain) to capture needs and validate solutions
- Decompose epics into features, capabilities, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria and traceability
- Prioritize backlog items to maximize business value and align with product strategy and release plans
- Drive planning and execution in Agile/SAFe environments - participate in PI planning, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives
- Liaise with product managers, solution architects, developers, QA, release managers, and business SMEs to ensure timely delivery
- Maintain requirement artifacts, process maps, integration and data flow diagrams, and decision logs
- Support testing activities: define test scenarios, validate UAT outcomes, and coordinate defect resolution
- Lead change management: prepare training materials, support communications, and coordinate rollouts with operations and support teams
- Track and report epic progress and outcomes using agreed KPIs; escalate risks and issues proactively
- Apply continuous improvement and Lean thinking to refine processes and reduce waste
Basic Qualifications:
- (Level: 3) 5+ years of business analysis / product ownership experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
- 5+ years of solid understanding of manufacturing processes: discrete or process manufacturing, production planning, shop floor control, quality management
Preferred Qualifications:
- (Level: 4) 7+ years of business analysis / product ownership experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Demonstrated experience with manufacturing systems (ERP, MES, PLM) and integrations between them
- Strong hands-on experience with Agile tooling (Jira, ADO) and documentation (Confluence/Macroscope)
- Proven ability to write high-quality acceptance criteria, user stories, process flows, and technical handoffs
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills - able to influence at all levels
- Strong analytical skills; comfortable working with data (SQL knowledge preferred) and metrics to demonstrate impact
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
