The Case Staffing Manager is responsible for the allocation and staffing of legal matters within Jackson Lewis. This position will initially support the broader case staffing efforts for the firm as a floater and potentially be aligned to specific offices as practices expand.

Oversee the assignment of attorneys to various matters based on their skills, experience, and availability. This role will develop an understanding of attorney caseloads, individual attorney strengths, areas of expertise, capacity, and billable hours trends. The Case Staffing Manager will understand all aspects of each matter, including complexity of litigation when assigning matters.

Responsibilities 

  • Manage all aspects of matter staffing, understanding each case's unique needs as well as a deep understanding of individual attorney knowledge skills and abilities.
  • Use firm resources and technology.
  • Ensure attorneys' caseloads stay on track to meet billable requirements.
  • Handle transitions of matters during attorney departures, leaves of absence, and integration of new hires.
  • Maintain a client-focused approach to strengthen relationships. Recognize the significance of each opportunity to nurture and strengthen client relationships within local offices.  

 Skills and Educational Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree required; JD preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a litigation law firm; employment law preferred.
  • Proven work in fast-paced, high-volume work environment.

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act as well as for Washington State, the expected salary range for this Colorado & Washington State position is between $125,000 and $160,000.  This position is also eligible for annual bonuses. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
