Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Clarity Report Writer to provide staff augmentation and subject matter expertise for a healthcare technology initiative. This individual will design, develop, validate, and maintain reports using Epic Clarity to support clinical operations, patient care, quality improvement, population health, regulatory reporting, and operational decision-making.

The ideal candidate has strong Epic Clarity reporting experience, knowledge of clinical healthcare workflows and data, and the ability to develop accurate reports that support providers, operational leaders, and clinical stakeholders.

This engagement is expected to last approximately 14 to 18 months and is anticipated to be fully remote.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, validate, and maintain clinical reports using Epic Clarity.
  • Gather and document reporting requirements from clinical, operational, quality, technical, and leadership stakeholders.
  • Translate clinical and operational requirements into effective reporting solutions.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, analyze, and present clinical data.
  • Analyze clinical data structures, workflows, and reporting dependencies.
  • Develop reports related to patient care, ambulatory workflows, inpatient operations, quality measures, clinical outcomes, provider performance, population health, and regulatory reporting.
  • Validate report accuracy, completeness, and consistency against source systems.
  • Troubleshoot reporting issues, data discrepancies, and performance concerns.
  • Partner with Epic application analysts, database administrators, technical teams, and clinical subject matter experts.
  • Support testing, peer review, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of reporting solutions.
  • Develop and maintain report specifications, data definitions, validation documentation, and technical documentation.
  • Follow established reporting governance, security, privacy, and quality standards.
  • Provide reporting subject matter expertise and recommend improvements to reporting processes and solutions.
  • Communicate project status, risks, issues, and dependencies to project leadership.
  • Support knowledge transfer and provide guidance to project team members as needed.


Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, healthcare informatics, healthcare administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience developing reports using Epic Clarity.
  • Strong SQL development and query optimization skills.
  • Experience working with healthcare clinical data.
  • Knowledge of clinical workflows, healthcare operations, and clinical terminology.
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical reporting solutions.
  • Experience testing, validating, and troubleshooting complex reports.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote staff augmentation or consulting environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current or prior Epic Clarity certification.
  • Experience with Epic Ambulatory, Inpatient, Orders, ASAP, OpTime, Beaker, Willow, Stork, ClinDoc, or related clinical applications.
  • Experience with Epic Caboodle, Reporting Workbench, Radar, or SlicerDicer.
  • Experience developing reports for quality measures, patient outcomes, provider productivity, clinical operations, population health, regulatory reporting, or care management initiatives.
  • Familiarity with healthcare quality reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience supporting a large healthcare organization or public-sector healthcare environment.
  • Experience with data visualization or business intelligence tools.
