Client Relations Manager at Martindale-Avvo – Seattle, WA
Martindale-Avvo is seeking a proven change leader and culture builder to join our Account Management leadership team as a Client Relations Manager (CRM). This is a pivotal hire as we redefine how account management drives growth, client retention, and long-term value in a rapidly evolving digital marketing landscape.

We’re rebuilding our Account Management team to be more strategic, consultative, and growth-oriented. This role will bring fresh perspective and external experience to accelerate that transformation.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead, coach, and inspire a team of 8-12 Account Managers to exceed revenue and retention goals while building resilience and optimism through change.
- Transform account management into proactive client partnership - helping law firms unlock more value through our full portfolio of solutions and strengthening long-term client relationships.
- Champion our value proposition in an AI-driven market, equipping reps with compelling positioning that resonates with small law firms.
- Drive performance using data-driven insights that identify upsell opportunities and optimize client engagement.
- Lead through change-navigating sales toolchain transformation, evolving product portfolios, and shifting market dynamics with clarity and confidence.
- Build culture: energize and support a team navigating ongoing change, celebrating wins, and sustaining a collaborative, client-focused culture.
What You Bring:
- 3+ years of Account Management or Customer Success leadership experience, including 2+ years managing teams.
- Proven success driving growth and retention in SMB-focused digital marketing, SaaS, or online marketplaces (Zillow, Yelp, Angi, Thumbtack, etc.).
- Strong leadership track record of energizing teams, improving morale, and delivering results through change.
- Consultative, strategic approach to client engagement - able to turn retention into expansion.
- Analytical rigor and comfort with data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and executive presence, able to influence clients, reps, and senior leaders.
Compensation & Location:
- $110k base + $40k variable comp, with an OTE range of $150-170K
- Hybrid Seattle, WA office (minimum 3 days in office)

This is not a standard CRM role. It’s an opportunity to bring your parallel experience from other industries into legal marketing and lead the reinvention of account management at scale.
