Position Overview

The Commercial Operations Manager owns the systems, data, planning inputs, and processes that connect Stanley's North American commercial teams to our customers across wholesale, e-commerce, and direct-to-consumer (DTC) channels. This individual contributor role is the business owner for our B2B platform (Elastic) and the governance lead for the Salesforce CRM in North America, and a key partner on demand and supply planning and forecasting across all three channels, supporting everything from seasonal catalog readiness and item set-up to customer data, inventory visibility, and plan alignment.

Working across the organization and across channels, this role finds and fixes the gaps between teams, processes, and systems. The Commercial Operations Manager leads cross-functional initiatives from intake to delivery, setting priorities, owners, timelines, and risks, and keeping every workstream moving across Demand and Supply Planning, Technology, and the commercial teams so plans line up and the tools and processes the business needs to scale actually get built. We are looking for a proactive, self-directed, and direct communicator who is just as comfortable working with Sales, E-commerce, DTC, Marketing, and Commercial teams as with IT and Technology partners.

This position is onsite 3 days per week at our Seattle Headquarters office.

What You'll Do

Commercial Systems Ownership (Elastic B2B and Salesforce)

  • Serve as the regional business owner for the Elastic B2B platform, including site administration, seasonal catalog and go-to-market readiness, item set-up, and customer data mapping.
  • Govern the Salesforce CRM platform for North America, including data standards, workflows, user access and permissions, change prioritization, and alignment with Sales, channel teams, and IT.
  • Act as the primary liaison for IT and platform vendors across Elastic, Salesforce, and related commercial systems, driving enhancements and issue resolution through requirements, user acceptance testing, release readiness, and communication to the business.
  • Own process governance and execution for B2B and commercial systems, including documentation, standards, escalation paths, and clear ownership across teams.

Demand, Supply and Commercial Data

  • Partner with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and channel teams across wholesale, e-commerce, and DTC on forecasting inputs, inventory visibility, and allocation, keeping plans and systems aligned.
  • Bring technical depth to demand and supply planning topics, translating how forecasts, inventory, and order data flow across systems into clear guidance for the business.
  • Support commercial data initiatives such as customer and channel segmentation, account hierarchy, and pricing and program alignment by documenting business rules and driving them to implementation.
  • Support customer onboarding and B2B account set-up processes, improving speed, data quality, and handoffs between teams.

Cross-Channel and Global Alignment

  • Work across wholesale, e-commerce, and DTC teams to identify where processes, data, and systems should be consistent and where channel needs differ, and drive alignment accordingly.
  • Collaborate with regional counterparts in EMEA and APAC to share best practices, support adoption, and align on what should be consistent globally.
  • Partner with the Commercial Operations & Analytics team, including GTM Operations and front-line sales support, to define clear handoffs between governance and day-to-day support.

Project Management and Continuous Improvement

  • Proactively drive a portfolio of cross-functional projects and initiatives, tracking priorities, owners, risks, and next steps, and moving work forward without waiting to be asked.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities across teams, processes, and systems, and lead the improvements that reduce manual work and increase accuracy.

Executive Communication

  • Keep leadership and cross-functional teams informed through concise, candid updates and clear, impactful presentations that cover status, risks, and decisions needed, raise issues early, and translate complex business needs, strategic initiatives, and performance updates into actionable recommendations
Who You Are
  • 5-7 years experience in commercial operations, demand or supply planning, B2B or e-commerce platform administration, sales operations, business systems, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Comfortable working hands-on in system administration tools and understanding both the technical and user-interface sides of a platform.
  • Experience governing or administering a CRM such as Salesforce, including data standards, workflows, and permissions, along with ERP, planning, or order management systems (for example Oracle EBS) and the data that flows between them.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to map, validate, and troubleshoot data across systems.
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into clear requirements and to partner with Technology and vendors on testing and delivery.
  • Working knowledge of demand and supply planning and forecasting processes, and how planning, inventory, and order data move across systems.
  • Experience supporting more than one sales channel (for example wholesale, e-commerce, or DTC) and understanding how their planning, inventory, and customer needs differ.
  • Highly proactive and self-directed, with a track record of driving projects to completion, anticipating needs, and following through without close oversight.
  • Exceptional organization and project management skills, with the ability to track many workstreams and priorities at once.
  • Strong process orientation, with experience building documentation, governance, and training that people actually use.
  • Direct, candid communicator with excellent written and verbal skills, who shares clear perspectives and tough messages constructively, explains technical topics to business audiences, and adapts style to the audience.
  • Able to partner credibly with Sales, Marketing, and Commercial teams across wholesale, e-commerce, and DTC, as well as IT and Technology, moving comfortably between business and technical conversations.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
