Host Clubs are built by Hosts, for Hosts. Each club is managed by volunteer Community Leaders who are experienced Hosts and Airbnb is here to connect, improve, and retain our Hosts.

The Airbnb Community team is looking for an experienced Community Engagement Lead to lead the engagement for one of our most important host segments, our Community Leaders. This role is responsible for building and managing communications channels, engagement strategy, and content to drive Community Leader satisfaction, retention, and business impact.

A Typical Day: 

Strategy

  • Set a clear Community Leader engagement strategy and initiatives, and establish measurable goals that optimize for impact on Leaders and other critical host groups
  • Develop and maintain key communication channels to engage and recognize our key host segments, including Community Leader Summits, Leader hub, Toolkits, office hours, AMAs. 
  • Develop new programs and initiatives to empower Leaders and foster host-host connection

Operations

  • Drive and own editorial calendar for all communications impacting Community Leaders at global and local level, leveraging this to drive strategic communications 
  • Own and develop the playbooks, guidelines, and resources to reduce operational burden off Community Managers in field across Community Leader summits and toolkits. 
  • Create financial and operational efficiencies across all engagement initiatives and programs, including owning and managing the events budget

Measurement & Stakeholder Management

  • Define and measure engagement success across all engagement channels and initiatives regionally and globally. 
  • Analyze and report on Global Leader Community to inform broader strategy.
  • Establish scalable mechanisms to gather feedback from Community Leaders regularly to improve and iterate on the program.
  • Closely align with Host Education and Host Comms team to ensure cohesion of strategies.
  • Partner closely with the Supply and Revenue Operations team to scale the impact of Host Forums and Community Leader summits globally.
  • Manage Leader sentiment survey strategy, including: content, distribution, analyzing and reporting on the results to inform potential new opportunities.

Special Projects: 

  • Lead and/or support ad-hoc program management of key Community programs. Identify areas of opportunity for potential investment or incubation; manage strategic pilots and business programs as appropriate

Your Expertise:

  • Senior leader with 12+ years of related work experience, particularly in Consulting, Strategy, Product management, Finance, Business planning or Operations roles
  • Track record of leading large scale, high impact, cross-functional efforts and drive projects from ideation to strategy and implementation at the Executive level
  • Prior experience Process management - Experience with designing, implementing, and improving effective and efficient work processes
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple work streams and deliverables in a matrixed organization structure
  • Deep connection to Airbnb’s mission and passion for creating Connection and Belonging
  • Strong analytical, data, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Creative problem solver. Able to identify real obstacles and viable solutions.
  • Outcome-oriented. Not reactionary, articulates the desired outcome and works collaboratively to create a path to achieve it.

Your Location:

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. How We'll Take Care of You:

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
