Bring Local to Life at Fleet Farm

The Regional Community Engagement Manager is Fleet Farm’s full-time presence in the communities surrounding our ten stores across Iowa, North Dakota and South Dakota. This role builds the relationships, partnerships, sponsorships and events that connect Fleet Farm with the customers and communities that matter most—from farmers and ranchers to hunters, sportsmen, 4-H and FFA families, youth sports and local organizations.

This is a highly independent, field-based role. You’ll spend much of your time on the road, building relationships, identifying opportunities and bringing Fleet Farm to life in the communities we serve.

What You'll Do:

  • Build and manage relationships with community organizations, agricultural groups, fairs, 4-H and FFA, sportsmen’s clubs, schools, chambers and other key partners.
  • Identify and secure new sponsorship, partnership and event opportunities within an approved regional budget.
  • Develop and manage an annual calendar of community events, sponsorships and Fleet Farm activations across the region.
  • Lead event execution from planning and logistics through setup, onsite activation and post-event follow-up.
  • Partner with Store General Managers and the in-house marketing agency to connect community activity with local store priorities, promotions and Fleet Farm’s brand.
  • Track partnerships, events, spending and results, providing regular updates and recommendations to leadership.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in field marketing, outside sales, territory management, sponsorships or community relations, preferably in agriculture, outdoor, sporting goods or rural retail.
  • Proven ability to build relationships from the ground up, secure partnerships and work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Highly self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage your own schedule, pipeline, expenses and priorities while working extensively on the road.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build credibility with community partners, store leaders and local organizations.
  • Ability to travel approximately 75%; valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in all weather.

Why Fleet Farm?

At Fleet Farm, we don’t just sell products — we’re a part of the community. Join a team that values creativity, local impact, and delivering exceptional experiences for our customers. If you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and help bring local marketing to life, we’d love to meet you!

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
