Consumer Insights Manager

We create and deliver tailored marketing strategies for Expedia Group’s brands, focusing on establishing strong connections and cohesive experiences for travelers and partners. We leverage our functional expertise and creative excellence to build trust and loyalty for our brands through innovative marketing approaches and technology. 

Our Integrated Marketing & Creative team is seeking a Consumer Insights Manager to help build traveler-centric brands and deliver business-driving insights across Expedia Group. This role will lead research in support of both brand and broader business questions.

In this role, you will

  • Lead end-to-end primary research (quantitative and qualitative), from framing the problem and designing the approach through analysis, storytelling, and activation of insights

  • Support a wide range of ad hoc qual and quant research needs across brands and business lines, flexing between brand, product, marketing, and broader business questions

  • Serve as a Center of Excellence for business and brand insights, helping define best practices, frameworks, and playbooks for how we measure, learn, and act on traveler insights

  • Assume ownership for syndicated and subscription-based insights services

  • Independently manage vendor and partner relationships

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Integrated Marketing, Brand, Creative, Analytics, Product, and others) to ensure insights are integrated into strategy, planning, creative development, and in‑market optimization

  • Synthesize complex data into compelling, actionable narratives tailored to diverse audiences, including senior level stakeholders

  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly and persuasively, influencing decisions on marketing, communications, creative, and broader business strategies

Who you are

  • 8–10 years of experience in consumer, market, or marketing research and insights, with a strong track record in delivering insights to inform brand and marketing strategy

  • Background may be agency, client-side, or a mix

  • Demonstrated ability to independently translate business questions into research objectives and leading research projects end-to-end

  • Deep experience with quantitative research methodologies including survey design, data analysis, data interpretation and story telling

  • Strong experience with qualitative research methodologies, and comfort leading or overseeing these approaches

  • Comfortable getting hands‑on with data and research outputs to build clear, engaging stories and visualizations that drive action

  • Proven stakeholder management and strong influencing skills, ability to influence decision making among senior leaders

  • Adept at navigating complex, global, matrixed organizations and building strong relationships across functions and geographies

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners (marketing, creative, analytics, product) to translate insights into concrete strategies, plans, and actions.

  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple work streams, prioritize effectively, and maintain strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $110,500.00 to $155,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $177,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
