Lead Portnox's content and corporate communications program: write and edit blog posts, social and executive content; manage editorial calendar; liaise with PR agency; ensure messaging governance; support event, ABM, and conference content; track performance and maintain consistent, on-brand output across channels.
We're hiring a Content & Corporate Communications Manager to own the execution of Portnox's content and communications program. This is a high-ownership, high-visibility role sitting at the center of how Portnox tells its story — across our blog, social media channels, press, and executive communications.
You'll write original content, manage the editorial calendar, serve as the day-to-day liaison with our PR agency, and act as the internal steward of our messaging and positioning. You'll work closely with our VP of Product Marketing, CMO, and executive spokespeople — including our CEO, CTO, and Field CISO — to make sure everything that goes out the door sounds like Portnox and advances the right narrative.
This is a role for someone who takes equal pride in the quality of their own writing and the discipline of a well-run content program. If you're energized by owning something end-to-end and have strong opinions about what good brand communication looks like, we want to talk to you.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Blogging
- Write original blog posts on a regular cadence covering cybersecurity trends, industry narratives, and Portnox's point of view on the market
- Develop content in close coordination with our PMM team to ensure technical accuracy and positioning alignment
- Translate complex security concepts into accessible, compelling narratives for CISO and IT practitioner audiences
- Contribute to data-driven content initiatives, including turning proprietary telemetry findings into press-ready and owned-channel assets
Editorial Calendar & Content Operations
- Own and manage the editorial calendar across blog, social, and PR — ensuring consistent output and no gaps in the publishing schedule
- Coordinate with PMMs, our Web Manager, and the PR agency to keep all content workstreams aligned and on pace
- Maintain a healthy pipeline of content at various stages so production never becomes reactive
- Track content performance and use data to inform future editorial direction
Social Media & Community Management
- Own Portnox's social media presence across LinkedIn and other relevant channels
- Write and schedule social content that amplifies blog posts, PR coverage, executive thought leadership, product news, and industry conversations
- Monitor and engage with the Portnox community — responding, participating in relevant conversations, and building our presence in key cybersecurity communities
- Maintain a consistent social rhythm that keeps Portnox visible and active without sacrificing quality for volume
PR Agency Management
- Serve as Portnox's primary day-to-day contact with our external PR agency
- Brief the agency on story angles, messaging priorities, and news hooks
- Review and provide substantive feedback on all agency deliverables — press releases, pitches, contributed article drafts, and media prep materials
- Ensure all agency output adheres to Portnox's core positioning and messaging framework
- Track media coverage, report on outcomes, and hold the agency accountable to agreed KPIs
Executive Communications
- Ghostwrite and edit bylined articles, LinkedIn content, and speaking abstracts for Portnox's executive spokespeople
- Maintain an executive thought leadership calendar aligned to the broader editorial and PR calendar
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure technical precision and positioning accuracy in all executive-attributed content
Messaging Governance
- Act as the internal editorial steward — reviewing content across channels for adherence to Portnox's messaging framework
- Flag positioning inconsistencies and work with the relevant owner to course-correct
- Maintain and distribute messaging documentation, boilerplates, and editorial guidelines as a standing source of truth for the marketing org
Events & Conference Content
- Support content needs for Portnox’s regional conference and tradeshow sponsorships throughout the year
- Develop event-specific messaging, booth copy, and on-site collateral in close coordination with PMMs and the broader marketing team
- Ensure event content and communications are consistent with Portnox’s core positioning and aligned to the broader editorial calendar
- Support pre- and post-event content amplification across social media, email, and the blog to maximize reach and engagement
ABM Campaign Content
- Write ad copy and email copy to support Portnox’s account-based marketing campaigns, ensuring messaging is tailored to target personas and verticals
- Collaborate with the PMM team and demand generation stakeholders to develop copy that reflects the right stage of the buyer journey for each target account
- Maintain consistency between ABM copy and Portnox’s broader messaging framework, ensuring a cohesive experience across all touchpoints
WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT
Worth being direct about scope: this role does not own SEO strategy or web architecture (that sits with our Web Manager), does not own product marketing content or sales enablement materials (that sits with our PMM team), and is not a general-purpose copywriting resource for whoever needs something written.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
Experience
- 4–6 years in content marketing, corporate communications, or a hybrid of both — B2B SaaS or cybersecurity experience strongly preferred
- A strong, demonstrable writing portfolio — blogs, bylines, executive content, social copy, or some combination
- Experience owning an editorial calendar and keeping a content program running at consistent volume and quality
- LinkedIn fluency and demonstrated experience managing social media for a B2B brand
- Experience working with an external PR agency is a strong plus
Skills & Attributes
- Exceptional writer across formats — long-form blog, short-form social, executive voice, corporate narrative
- Strong editorial instincts — you notice when something sounds off-message and you know how to fix it
- Organized and self-directed — you manage a multi-channel content program without letting things pile up or go dark
- Proactive communicator — you surface blockers early, keep stakeholders informed, and don't wait to be told what to do
- Genuinely curious about cybersecurity — you don't need to arrive as a subject matter expert, but intellectual curiosity about the space is non-negotiable
- Comfortable in a lean, fast-moving environment where ownership is real and hand-holding is minimal
Nice to Have
- Background in or familiarity with cybersecurity, network security, or enterprise IT
- Experience writing for CISO or technical practitioner audiences
- Familiarity with analyst relations processes (Gartner, Forrester)
- Experience supporting a brand through a repositioning or growth phase
