Dive into Content as a Summer Intern!

As part of our Content team, you’ll help shape the programming lineup across DIRECTV Satellite and Internet platforms. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to projects that directly impact our business.

Depending on your interests and background, you’ll be placed in one of the following focus areas:

1. Content Strategy & Development

  • Analyze data, conduct benchmarking and research
  • Build dashboards and deliver presentations
  • Support cross-functional initiatives

2. Content Contracts & Compliance

  • Assist with new database software implementation and AI integration
  • Conduct data audits and support data migration
  • Support reporting automation and data management, validation, and analysis activities, using relational databases, queries, APIs, or system integrations.
  • Review contracts and summarize key findings

3. Content & Programming

  • Analyze channel performance, marketing, and competition
  • Support project management and reporting
  • Assist with third-party authentication audits
  • Deep dive analysis into programmer portfolios, offerings, synergies, sports rights, streaming cannibalization, etc.

4. Content Development

  • Conceptualize new functionalities serving content engagement and discovery
  • Competitive intelligence research and summarization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams launching live channels, to understand and improve processes

Who We’re Looking For

  • Open to all majors; Preferred: Media & Entertainment, Management, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or Leadership tracks
  • A passion for the entertainment industry (especially the business or technology side)
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • A proactive, self-motivated mindset with a desire to learn and grow
  • Nice to have:  Familiarity and experience using Artificial Intelligence LLMs to do research, benchmarking, and / or analysis

Program Details

  • Duration: 10-week remote internship (This is a virtual position that can be located anywhere in the United States.)
  • Program Dates: 6/7/27 – 8/13/27 or 6/14/27 – 8/20/27
  • Eligibility: Must have full U.S. work authorization now and in the future
  • This position can earn $20 - $28 per hour, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at DIRECTV offers. (Undergrad $20 per hour; Grad $28 per hour.)
