WHAT YOU WILL DO:
We're looking for a Content Marketing Manager who is passionate about evolving their craft in the era of AI. We're looking for a B2B marketer with proven experience writing specialized content for niche, technical, or regulated industries. The ideal candidate isn't afraid to dig into complex subject matter and turn it into content that genuinely resonates with their target audience.
We're looking for a true SEO expert who's evolved to the forefront of AEO. They're already writing content built to win in AI-powered search, and they're not afraid to test new approaches to see what drives results. They're also a content engineer, not just a writer. They know how to harness AI to create great content at scale, building the workflows and guardrails that keep everything accurate, on-brand, and free of slop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own content strategy and planning, understanding the language, buying triggers, and technical depth of our specialized fleet and insurance audiences.
- Plan and draft copy for all marketing collateral, including blog posts, white papers, guides, checklists, emails, ads, webpages, webinar content, and more.
- Interview subject matter experts (internal team members, partners, customers) to translate technical and regulatory concepts into clear, credible, authoritative content.
- Build and maintain AI-assisted content workflows that produce accurate, on-brand content at scale, including clear QA and editing processes to catch errors, hallucinations, and generic AI voice.
- Own blog strategy end to end: planning, drafting, and optimizing every post for discoverability (SEO), citability (AEO), and conversion.
- Drive our AEO strategy: structured data/schema, content formatting for AI answer engines, entity and authorship signals, and ongoing testing of what actually improves AI visibility.
- Maintain SEO fundamentals (keyword research, on-page optimization, technical hygiene) as a baseline, not the primary focus of the role.
- Develop email nurtures that progress leads through the funnel and re-engage dormant leads.
- Run structured A/B tests (subject lines, CTAs, website copy) and apply learnings to future content.
- Report on content performance with a clear line to pipeline and business impact, not just traffic or rankings, and use that data to shape what gets built next.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- 4+ years of experience in content marketing, with direct ownership of strategy (not just execution)
- Experience writing about insurance, or demonstrated success mastering another niche, technical, or regulated industry (financial services, healthcare, legal, cybersecurity, etc.) well enough to write with authority
- Strong foundational knowledge of SEO best practices, with growing or established expertise in AEO: what it is, what components matter (structured data, content structure, entity authority), and how to test and improve for it
- Direct experience building or operating AI-assisted content workflows at scale (not just occasional use of ChatGPT or Claude for brainstorming), with a clear point of view on how to avoid generic, inaccurate, or off-brand AI output
- Proven ability to write content that performs across three dimensions: discoverable in traditional search, rankable against competitors, and citable in AI-generated answers
- Excellent proofreader with extreme attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities independently
- Proficient in AP Style, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics
- Experience with content management systems, HubSpot preferred
- Experience with SEO/AEO tooling (Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar)
- Please include writing samples or a portfolio link, ideally including at least one example of technical or complex-subject-matter writing
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- US remote
- Operates in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity environment with multiple initiatives happening simultaneously.
