Job Summary
Impiricus and DocUpdate are seeking a strategic, insight-driven Content Marketing Manager to build and scale our content engine. This role goes beyond content creation—you will define how and why we communicate with healthcare professionals (HCPs), shaping messaging that resonates across specialties and drives meaningful engagement.
We are looking for a content-driven, social-first marketer who can translate audience insight into engaging, scroll-stopping content and scalable formats that turn attention into interaction.
You will act as the voice of the customer, identifying trends across physician audiences, understanding what matters to them, and translating those insights into high-performing content and campaigns. You will own both the strategy and execution of content across social and lifecycle channels.
This role requires someone who doesn’t just execute—but questions, refines, and elevates strategy:
- What should we be saying?
- Who are we saying it to?
- Why will it resonate now?
This role will also require a strong analytical mindset—using performance data to determine what’s working, why it’s working, and how to scale top-performing creative and messaging across channels.
We’re looking for a self-starter and strategic thinker who thrives in fast-paced environments and can connect dots across physician conversations, industry trends, and performance data to build a repeatable, high-performing content system.
Key Responsibilities
Content & Social Media Management
- Define and refine content strategy by identifying what resonates across different physician specialties and audience segments, and aligning messaging, format, and distribution accordingly.
- Own day-to-day content planning, creation, and publishing across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and other key social channels.
- Develop and maintain a content calendar aligned with product updates, campaigns, conferences, and company initiatives.
- Ensure content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with brand voice and messaging for HCP audiences.
- Develop and iterate on repeatable, high-performing content formats informed by performance data and audience behavior.
- Write and edit compelling copy for email campaigns, newsletters, website articles, and in-product or lifecycle communications.
- Partner with the Head of Growth to test, iterate, and improve campaign and content performance.
- Use social listening to identify emerging physician trends, conversations, and sentiment across specialties.
- Follow key opinion leaders and actively engage the DocUpdate brand.
- Manage and respond to DocUpdate social comments.
- Track industry and vertical competition and report on unique social strategies.
- Synthesize insights from physician conversations into actionable recommendations for content, messaging, and campaigns.
- Support weekly and monthly marketing performance reporting, including content, email, and engagement metrics.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Growth, Data, and Operations teams to align marketing efforts with business priorities.
- Use data and insights to continuously refine content strategy and campaign execution.
- Identify top-performing creative and messaging, and proactively recommend how to scale or iterate based on performance trends.
- 4–6 years of marketing experience, ideally within SaaS, healthtech, consumer-facing apps, or technology.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, engaging content.
- Proven ability to create engaging, high-performing social content, with a strong creative instinct for what captures attention and drives interaction.
- Experience developing and managing content across social, email, and web channels.
- Ability to use data and performance metrics to inform content decisions and optimize campaigns.
- Experience identifying audience insights or trends and translating them into content or messaging.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, startup environment.
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to connect audience insight to content and messaging decisions.
- Social concept ideation and a creative, test-and-learn approach to content development.
- Experience marketing to healthcare professionals or working within healthcare, healthtech, or life sciences.
- Content/comment moderation
- Exposure to GPT/AI tools for content ideation or generation.
The base salary range for this role is $110,000 - $120,000
Where you land within the range will reflect your skills, experience, and location, while keeping team parity in mind and leaving room for future growth.
