Hello, Content Producer, B2B Marketing!

Freeosk is looking for a Content Producer, B2B Marketing to join our team. Our ideal candidate has experience creating compelling content for retailers, retail media networks (RMNs), and media agencies, and thrives in a fast-moving, strategic environment.

Why this role exists:
This role exists to consistently produce high-quality, B2B-facing marketing content that elevates Freeosk’s presence with retailers, RMNs, and media agencies. By translating strategic direction into timely, engaging content across LinkedIn, our website, and sales materials, you’ll ensure Freeosk shows up in-market with clarity, credibility, and relevance.

We work in a distributed environment. Our office is in Chicago, but you can be located anywhere within the continental United States. There may be occasional travel to our Chicago office.

This is a part-time role (up to 24 hours/week) that pays $50/hour. The schedule will involve working consistently three days a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a steady cadence of LinkedIn content that responds to industry conversations and reinforces Freeosk’s point of view.
  • Create clear, well-designed one-pagers and sell sheets to support retailer and RMN conversations.
  • Develop website content (white papers, POVs, explainers) that reflects current strategy and market relevance.
  • Proactively identify relevant topics, moments, or content hooks aligned to Freeosk’s audience.
  • Bring forward ideas for original or reactive content without requiring full briefs.

Your Skills, Background, and Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience creating B2B content for retailers, agencies, or enterprise audiences.
  • Strong understanding of customer acquisition, credibility-building, and thought leadership in B2B contexts.
  • Deep familiarity with LinkedIn as a professional platform (formats, norms, engagement styles).
  • Excellent visual and written communication skills; able to turn rough inputs into polished outputs.
  • Comfortable working with imperfect inputs and evolving direction; moves fast and iterates well.
  • Bonus: Experience with WordPress and AI tools.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
