Design user experiences for Linktree's products, collaborating with teams to enhance quality and effectiveness in user-centered design.
Role overview
We're looking for a Staff-level Product Designer to join Linktree on a 6-month contract engagement. In this role, you'll bring expert level craft and strategic thinking to high-impact product work — shaping user experiences that serve over 70 million creators, entrepreneurs, and brands around the world.
This is a hands-on, high-ownership contract. You'll be directly embedded in our team, working closely with product, engineering, and data partners to move quickly, think deeply, and deliver work that drives clear impact for our customers. You'll also help raise the bar for design quality and rigour across our product team.
What you'll do
- Design and deliver end-to-end user experiences across key product surfaces, from discovery and ideation through to polished, production-ready work.
- Translate product briefs into clear design direction — balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
- Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and data analysts to identify high-impact opportunities that help shape roadmaps.
- Lead complex design projects independently, driving clarity and alignment across cross-functional stakeholders.
- Contribute to and uphold Linktree's design system, ensuring consistency and quality across the product.
- Take part in design reviews, presenting work with clear rationale, and incorporate feedback effectively.
- Bring a strong point of view on craft, systems thinking, and user-centred design — and share that thinking generously with the broader team.
What we're looking for
- 8+ years of product design experience, including 2+ years operating at a Staff level (existing contractor experience, a plus).
- A portfolio that demonstrates exceptional craft, critical thinking, and a clear obsession for the end user — with examples of complex, shipped product work across mobile and desktop.
- Expertise in utilizing modern AI product design and prototyping tools to rapidly create interactive, sharable concepts for feedback and testing.
- Strong systems-thinking ability: you can zoom into pixel-level detail and zoom out to product wide thinking without losing the thread.
- Comfortable working in ambiguity in a fast paced environment — you know how to define the problem as well as solve it.
- Proven track record of influencing stakeholders, bringing cross-functional teams together, and driving alignment through inspiring, effective artifacts.
- Confident, clear communicator who can articulate design rationale, trade-offs, and strategic thinking to a range of audiences.
- Experience working within and contributing to product design systems.
- Familiarity with experimentation and data-informed design (e.g. A/B testing, funnel analysis) is a plus.
