About Solace

Healthcare in the U.S. is fundamentally broken. The system is so complex that 88% of U.S. adults do not have the health literacy necessary to navigate it without help. Solace cuts through the red tape of healthcare by pairing patients with expert advocates and giving them the tools to make better decisions—and get better outcomes.

We're a Series C startup, founded in 2022 and backed by Inspired Capital, Craft Ventures, Torch Capital, Menlo Ventures, Signalfire, and IVP. Our U.S. based team is lean, mission-driven, and growing quickly.

Solace isn't a place to coast. We're here to redefine healthcare—and that demands urgency, precision, and heart. If you're looking to stretch yourself, sharpen your edge, and do the best work of your life alongside a team that cares deeply, you're in the right place. We’re intense, and we like it that way.

  • Partner closely with designers, marketers, and video creatives from concept through execution

  • Adapt messaging across channels while adhering to Solace's established brand voice and writing guidelines

  • Continuously iterate and improve creative based on feedback and performance insights

What You Bring to the Table
  • 4–6 years of experience writing marketing campaigns across multiple channels, agency or in-house

  • Previous experience working effectively on an agile distributed team

  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills

  • Sharp conceptual thinking and creative problem-solving instincts

  • Empathy for the people on the other side of the message, whether patients, partners, or prospective users

  • Ability to move quickly from concept to execution without sacrificing quality

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • A genuine appetite for feedback, and the instinct to use critique to sharpen the work

  • A growth mindset, with a drive to keep improving as a writer

  • A portfolio demonstrating campaign work, creative thinking, and copywriting craft

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
