What You'll do:

This Data Analyst supports mitigation operations within the supply chain risk management program. The Data Analyst focuses on the defensive/mitigation side of supply chain risk — identifying alternate sources, developing buffering strategies, producing risk mitigation placemats, and generating actionable recommendations that Government decision-makers can execute. This Data Analyst works under the direction of a Director of Operations & Implementation.

This role requires on-site work in either Huntsville, AL or Northern Virginia (Washington, DC Metro Area). Limited telework may be permitted based on customer requirements and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Illuminate program supply chains using proprietary information and government program office furnished information

  • Produce supply chain risk mitigation decision-support products on recurring cadence across assigned programs

  • Conduct alternate sourcing pathway analysis for at-risk parts, materials, and suppliers

  • Develop mitigation action plans with timelines, owners, and measurable closure criteria

  • Execute data quality validation workflows on supply chain datasets, flagging anomalies and gaps

  • Develop and maintain data quality scorecards with confidence ratings and remediation recommendations

  • Support Course of Action (COA) development for mitigation scenarios, including cost-benefit and timeline analysis

  • Track and document mitigation action closure across assigned programs, maintaining status logs

  • Prepare materials for control tower sessions and executive readouts

  • Coordinate with Government POCs on data clarification, supplier qualification, and sourcing data

  • Contribute to recurring reports, quarterly summaries, and annual assessment products

  • Support data onboarding and enrichment workflows for new programs and data sources

  • Maintain standard operating procedures and support new analyst onboarding

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data analysis, supply chain analysis, defense logistics, or intelligence analysis

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Python/pandas, SQL, or equivalent)

  • Experience producing analytic products, reports, or briefing materials for government stakeholders

  • Familiarity with supply chain concepts: mitigation strategies, supplier development, sourcing analysis, or entity relationships

  • Strong written communication, attention to detail, and analytic product delivery skills

  • Ability to work to production deadlines in a team environment and maintain quality standards at volume

  • Candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance

  • Must be currently located in Huntsville, AL or the Washington, DC Metro area

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with defense supply chain, logistics, or acquisition programs

  • Familiarity with CAGE codes, NSN, or defense parts data taxonomies

  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent)

  • Experience with entity resolution, master data management, or data governance frameworks

  • Familiarity with program management tools (Jira, Confluence)

The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Groundswell, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

$62,410.00 - $130,216.00
