HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the data infrastructure and BI reporting that support our data analytics initiatives. You will design data ingestion pipelines while ensuring data quality, enable self-service analytics capabilities, and develop visualization tools across functions in direct collaboration with the operational teams of the MCCs.

You sit at the foundation of our technical environment. You will ensure that every visualization in Looker is powered by a robust, scalable, and governed pipeline. Working across technical infrastructure, business intelligence, and AI, you will have the opportunity to design the data models that guide operational decision-making across the MCCs and RIMS.

Within the RIMS Digital Transformation Department, you will build ready-to-use data models for teams. You will implement high-performing infrastructure and reporting dashboards, and support AI-related transformation initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESReport Development and Maintenance for the MCCs

·         Analytics with Looker: Configure and maintain dashboards and visualizations in Looker, translating complex business needs into actionable KPIs. Train users on how to make the best use of the platform.

·         Data Modeling and Transformation: Design and implement data marts while applying development best practices, including Git and version control.

·         Pipeline Engineering: Support the development and maintenance of ETL/ELT pipelines using Airbyte, ensuring seamless data ingestion into BigQuery from SQL tables and flat files.

·         Documentation: Maintain and document data lineage, ensuring that Looker remains a single source of truth for the organization.

Monitoring Model Consistency Across the MCCs

·         Monitor model consistency across the MCCs to leverage shared efforts, ensure business continuity in the event of blockers, and maintain report performance.

·         Traffic and Performance Management: Ensure that models deployed by the MCCs perform effectively and meet Group expectations regarding cost and data consumption.

·         Platform Operations: Monitor the health of the data platform, implement integrity checks, resolve data quality issues, and apply data governance and access controls in line with Group strategy, including Monte-Carlo.

·         Knowledge Sharing Across Entities: Act as a key point of contact to promote the exchange of best practices across entities for the benefit of the Group and the MCCs.

·         AI-Related Technology Developments: Serve as the primary contact for developing, evolving, and integrating artificial intelligence solutions within the Group’s analytics tools.

·         Project Management Experience: Demonstrate proven ability to lead complex projects and manage priorities while collaborating effectively with a broad range of stakeholders, including IT, manufacturing, and business teams.

HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?

·         You hold a Master's degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related scientific field, and have more than five years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering.

·         You have expert command of SQL and Looker, including LookML, and know how to build sophisticated dashboards and the data transformation layers that power them.

·         You have an in-depth understanding of Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery, and master best practices in development and database management.

·         You can assess AI tool proposals put forward by the Group, contribute to their deployment within our industrial scope, and ensure their appropriate use in accordance with compliance and cybersecurity requirements.

·         You enjoy working in a dynamic environment and delivering new features quickly for demanding business users, using an Agile operating model.

WHAT MAKES OUR GROUP DIFFERENT?

Our true power does not lie in our similarities but in the rich diversity of our arts, cultures, and human skills, as well as our specific ability to foster untapped potential.

·         We value collegiality, empathy, curiosity, courage, humility, and integrity.
