  • Index strategies and execution plan optimization

  • MSSQL Always-On Availability Groups configuration, management, and failover procedures

  • MSSQL mirroring and log shipping for disaster recovery scenarios

  • Backup and restore strategies, including recovery models (Simple, Bulk-Logged, Full) and point-in-time recovery

  • Strong experience with PostgreSQL

  • Hands-on experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases

  • Strong experience managing databases on AWS RDS and Aurora

  • Proficiency in backup/restore, recovery models, and disaster recovery planning

  • Knowledge of database security, encryption, authentication, and compliance standards

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Microsoft Azure certifications (Azure Solutions Architect or Azure Data Engineer)

  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager)

  • Familiarity with ETL tools and data pipelines

  • Experience with database monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Redgate, Solarwinds)

  • Knowledge of high-availability architecture and replication

  • Familiarity of CI/CD, version control, and automated testing

  • Experience in an Agile/DevOps environment

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)

  • AWS or Microsoft Azure certifications are a plus
