About the Role

As a Senior Design Engineer at Ravenna, you will work at the intersection of interaction design, systems thinking, and front-end engineering. You will move between designing flows, prototyping with real data, implementing components, and improving internal tools, tokens, and documentation.

Your work will shape how users experience AI-powered internal support. You will be a design partner, a systems thinker, a high-impact engineer, and a steady advocate for product quality.

What You’ll DoDesign and Build Better User Experiences
  • Lead the creation and evolution of Ravenna’s cross-platform design system across design tools and front-end code

  • Design and prototype product flows that simplify complex tasks and make AI automation intuitive

  • Build polished, accessible, responsive UI with strong interaction and motion

Shape the Design System and Front-End Architecture
  • Maintain reusable components, design tokens, and documentation for fast, consistent shipping

  • Partner with engineers to define clean, predictable component APIs that scale

Create and Validate Product Ideas
  • Use Figma, browser prototypes, and AI tools to explore ideas and test assumptions

  • Turn early concepts into structured flows, prototypes, and production-ready interfaces

Collaborate Across the Company
  • Work with product, AI, and engineering teams to clarify problems and unify experiences

  • Provide design critique, technical feedback, and mentorship

  • Contribute to long-term product vision and UX strategy

Raise the Quality Bar
  • Champion accessibility, usability, and clarity

  • Identify and fix UX issues without waiting for permission

  • Build tools and workflows that shorten the path from idea to shipped product

What You Bring
  • 5+ years in product design, UI engineering, or design engineering

  • Strong fluency with Figma and modern UX/UI principles

  • Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system

  • Strong visual design and a sharp eye for layout and motion

  • Appreciation for documentation, critique, and collaboration

  • Clear communication and cross-functional partnership
