Development, Marketing & Communications Director

St. Monica School

2026–2027 School Year 

St. Monica School is seeking a Development, Marketing & Communications Director to lead and strengthen our fundraising, advancement, marketing, and communications efforts. We are an ambitious and supportive Preschool–12 Catholic community committed to providing a Catholic Classical Liberal Arts education while keeping Christ at the center of all we do. 

This highly collaborative role will help tell the story of St. Monica School, build relationships with families and donors, grow philanthropic support, and strengthen the school's presence in the broader community. 

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, creative storyteller, relationship-builder, and organized project manager who is passionate about Catholic education and building a vibrant school community. 

Key Responsibilities Include: 

  • Develop and implement annual fundraising and development strategies. 
  • Cultivate relationships with parents, alumni, grandparents, parishioners, donors, and community members. 
  • Coordinate annual giving campaigns, fundraising initiatives, and events. 
  • Support donor cultivation, stewardship, major gifts, and grant opportunities. 
  • Manage donor communications, records, acknowledgments, and reporting. 
  • Lead the school's marketing and communications efforts, including website and social media. 
  • Create compelling written, visual, and digital content that highlights the mission and impact of St. Monica School. 
  • Develop marketing materials supporting admissions, enrollment, fundraising, events, and community outreach. 
Qualifications

Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, nonprofit management, education, business, or a related field is preferred, along with relevant experience in development, fundraising, marketing, communications, nonprofit work, education, or a related field. Strong writing, communication, relationship-building, organizational, and digital media skills are essential. Experience in a Catholic school, parish, nonprofit, or other mission-driven organization is a plus. 

Candidates should support the mission and values of Catholic education and be willing to participate in the faith life of the school.

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
