  • Develop and manage testing and optimization initiatives, including A/B testing, personalization, merchandising, and UX improvements (working knowledge of HTML/CSS a plus, no coding required).

  • In collaboration with the Brand Team, create quarterly and seasonal ecommerce plans with clear KPIs that ladder up to annual business goals.

Lifecycle Marketing: Email, SMS & Loyalty
  • Own and deploy the email and SMS campaign calendar across product launches, promotions, seasonal campaigns, and evergreen initiatives.

  • Develop campaign strategy and messaging, translating business priorities into clear briefs and content for Creative.

  • Own and optimize automated lifecycle flows and segmentation.

  • Manage and evolve PlanetBox's loyalty and referral programs, identifying opportunities to increase repeat purchase and customer engagement.

  • Test and optimize email and SMS performance, using campaign and customer insights to improve engagement, conversion, and retention.

Amazon Strategy & Management
  • Partner with the Amazon team to help develop PlanetBox's Amazon strategy with a focus on revenue growth, profitability, discoverability, conversion, paid strategy, and creative needs.

  • Manage and optimize Amazon product listings, A+ Content, and Brand Store content.

  • With the Amazon team, monitor and report out sales and performance data to identify opportunities across assortment, content, promotions, and advertising.

  • Monitor ratings, reviews and communicate issues with teams when action is needed.

Performance, Analytics & Optimization
  • Establish and own KPIs across DTC, Amazon, email, SMS, loyalty, and other ecommerce initiatives that clearly ladder up to annual business goals.

  • Regularly evaluate performance against goals, identify gaps and opportunities, and adjust tactics to keep the digital business on track.

  • Communicate key performance insights and recommendations to cross-functional partners and leadership.

  • Use ecommerce, lifecycle, and Amazon performance insights to inform broader marketing decisions and creative strategy.

Project & Cross-Functional Management
  • Develop clear timelines, briefs, and deliverables, keeping projects on track and effectively communicating priorities and updates to contributors and stakeholders.

Qualifications
  • 4+ years of ecommerce or digital marketing experience, ideally within a consumer or DTC brand.

  • Demonstrated experience balancing strategic ownership with hands-on execution.

  • Strong experience with Shopify and ecommerce merchandising.

  • Hands-on experience with Klaviyo or a similar email/SMS platform, including campaigns, segmentation, automation, and lifecycle flows.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
