Job Description

The Digital Marketing Manager - 3rd Party Partnerships (3PP) & Publishers position is an individual contributor role that leads the strategic planning, execution, and optimization of 3rd Party media partnerships with premium publishers, editorial outlets, and content partners. This role owns the partnership channel's strategy end-to-end, driving growth through annual planning, partner negotiation, budget ownership, and data-driven performance analysis.

This role works cross-functionally with Brand, PMO, Creative, and Enterprise Marketing teams to ensure partnerships are fully resourced and integrated with broader marketing priorities. In addition to internal collaboration, this role serves as a key point of contact for external 3P partners and agencies, guiding their strategic contribution and ensuring partnership excellence. This role is ideal for a highly skilled individual contributor with the vision and expertise to own 3rd party partnership strategy at scale.

A day in the life...

  • Direct agency and content partners in developing annual RFPs, providing target audience details, seasonal briefs, and key priorities to guide long-term partnership strategy
  • Lead annual planning and development of content wireframes, and create, maintain, and optimize the 3PP strategic framework to guide partnership criteria and investment
  • Own budget allocation by partner and optimize overall program spend to align with business objectives and maximize ROI
  • Plan and lead half-yearly partner summits to align on priorities and set the agenda for upcoming campaigns
  • Own Print media strategy and end-to-end execution, ensuring alignment with the broader 3rd Party Partnership portfolio and full-funnel business objectives
  • Identify cross-collaborative partnership opportunities across channels (e.g., Affiliate Publishers, Programmatic, PR/Events, Social) and develop strategies to leverage them
  • Collaborate closely with the Affiliate Publishers team to identify synergies and increase JWN buying power with external media companies that overlap across both channels
  • Lead partnership strategy efforts, including developing criteria for evaluating and onboarding new partners, and negotiating high-impact partnership agreements
  • Continually review new and existing partnership opportunities to optimize outcomes and reevaluate current collaborations
  • Oversee the development of partner content strategies and manage internal review processes, providing strategic feedback to ensure alignment with brand goals
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for 3rd Party Partners, overseeing day-to-day execution and identifying opportunities for leadership to engage in high-visibility partner moments
  • Support and guide internal stakeholders across Brand, PMO, and Enterprise Marketing, cascading information and driving alignment on 3PP priorities
  • Lead partner meetings and deliver tactical presentations on partnership strategy, and own executive-level presentations showcasing performance insights and strategic recommendations
  • Oversee reporting pipelines and deliver long-term partnership reporting, including business reviews and executive summaries tied to marketing priorities
  • Execute administrative processes such as channel reporting, Coupa coding, and accounting inquiries

You own this if you have...

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
