WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Nymbus is a remote-first organization. This position is fully remote; however, occasional travel may be required for client meetings or designated team gatherings.


POSITION SUMMARY:

The Digital Operations Specialist plays a critical role in supporting and executing core deposit operations and General Ledger balancing across consumer and commercial portfolios. This role serves as a key internal liaison and subject matter expert for transactional processing and back-office operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant execution of daily operational activities in alignment with established policies, procedures, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Success in this role requires strong cross-functional collaboration, disciplined time management, and the ability to meet daily production deadlines while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and regulatory compliance. The Digital Operations Specialist also provides operational guidance and support to peers, contributes to process improvement initiatives, and actively participates in cross-departmental projects to enhance efficiency and scalability.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process and review mobile deposits, in-clearings, ACH transactions, wire transfers, and RDI transactions.
  • Balance files daily and resolve exceptions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Process Account-to-Account (A2A) transfers and ACH originations.
  • Perform debit card reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Generate operational and client-facing reports in accordance with institutional policies.
  • Ensure all deposit-related activities comply with applicable banking regulations, including Regulation E, Regulation CC, and NACHA rules.
  • Conduct research and provide operational support for digital deposit services, including ACH, mobile deposits, and reconciliation inquiries.
  • Perform daily General Ledger reconciliations for all digital clients.
  • Facilitate internal and external money movement transactions as required.
  • Execute daily audits and monitor dual control processes to maintain operational integrity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including Product, Fraud, Compliance, and Client Services, to improve operational workflows and client outcomes.
  • Manage and resolve tickets in accordance with established Rules of Engagement.
  • Provide cross-training and backup support to other Deposit Operations Specialists.
  • Participate in team initiatives and special projects as assigned by the Digital Operations Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of experience in deposit operations, banking operations, or a related financial services role
  • Fintech industry experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of NACHA rules and applicable banking regulations
  • Knowledge of operational risk controls and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize effectively in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a cross-functional, remote environment

SALARY & BENEFITS:

  • Hourly pay: $28.00.
