Neogen is seeking a Digital Sales Specialist Manager to help drive revenue growth through software sales, digital customer engagement, and data-informed selling. In this mid-level individual contributor role, you will accelerate adoption of Neogen's digital Environmental Monitoring application, manage CRM-driven sales activity, and identify growth opportunities across assigned accounts and territories.

This role partners closely with Marketing, Product, Commercial Operations, and Field Sales to deliver a consistent, consultative, and customer-focused digital sales experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute digital sales strategies aligned with commercial objectives, including pipeline generation, account expansion, renewals support, and upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
  • Own sales activity for an assigned geographic territory and enterprise accounts within that territory, using digital channels to engage customers and advance opportunities.
  • Partner with Marketing to convert campaign engagement, digital demand, and qualified leads into measurable revenue opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Field Sales, Product, and Commercial Operations on account coverage, deal strategy, product launches, pricing, sales enablement, and customer feedback.
  • Maintain accurate and timely CRM records, including opportunity updates, forecasting inputs, account activity, and pipeline reporting.
  • Use sales analytics, CRM insights, and customer engagement data to identify trends, risks, whitespace opportunities, and areas for improved sales execution.
  • Apply a consultative, value-based sales approach to understand customer needs, position digital solutions, and support adoption of Neogen's Environmental Monitoring application.
  • Help resolve customer questions or escalations by coordinating appropriate internal resources and maintaining a positive customer experience.
  • Represent the voice of the customer in digital sales strategy discussions, product feedback loops, and go-to-market planning.
  • Support continuous improvement of digital selling processes, playbooks, sales tools, and enablement materials.
Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Technology, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of sales, commercial, account management, business development, or customer-facing revenue experience.
  • Experience selling or supporting SaaS, software, digital products, inside sales, or technology-enabled solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a sales pipeline, qualify opportunities, advance deals, and deliver measurable business results.
  • Strong proficiency with CRM systems, such as Salesforce, including accurate activity tracking, opportunity management, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Ability to use data, dashboards, and sales analytics to prioritize accounts, identify growth opportunities, and inform sales strategy.
  • Strong consultative selling skills, including discovery, needs assessment, value positioning, objection handling, and customer follow-up.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, including the ability to present information to customers and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage customers across multiple channels, including phone, email, video, and digital platforms.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Field Sales, Commercial Operations, and customer support teams.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple accounts, opportunities, and priorities.
  • Demonstrated accountability, initiative, and sound judgment in a goal-oriented sales environment.
Desirable Requirements
  • Experience in environmental monitoring, food safety, life sciences, diagnostics, laboratory services, manufacturing, or another regulated or technical market.
  • Experience selling to enterprise accounts, multi-site customers, or complex buying groups.
  • Familiarity with recurring revenue models, subscription-based sales, software adoption, customer retention, or expansion selling.
  • Experience with sales engagement platforms, marketing automation tools, digital prospecting tools, or business intelligence dashboards.
  • Prior experience mentoring peers, leading projects, supporting enablement initiatives, or contributing to team performance improvement.
  • Ability to translate technical product capabilities into clear business value for a range of customer stakeholders.
  • Experience partnering with field sales teams in a hybrid or coordinated account coverage model.
  • Familiarity with product launch support, pricing coordination, sales playbooks, or go-to-market execution.
What We Offer
  • A standard benefits package designed to support eligible employees.
  • The opportunity to contribute to the growth of a digital Environmental Monitoring application within a collaborative commercial environment.
  • Cross-functional partnership with Marketing, Product, Field Sales, and Commercial Operations teams.
  • A role where data-driven decision-making, customer focus, and consultative selling are central to success.
  • Opportunities to help shape digital sales processes, customer engagement strategies, and commercial growth initiatives.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
