Digital Solutions Integration Engineer II

Designs, integrates, configures, tests, commissions, and supports Active Network Management Systems throughout their lifecycle. Responsibilities include preparing system and test documentation, designing interfaces with external systems, integrating control and field instrumentation, commissioning systems onsite, supporting production and pre-production environments, and identifying product opportunities. The role requires knowledge of power quality, battery energy storage systems, FACTS devices, automation controls, communication protocols, networking, IT security, and software lifecycle processes.
POSITION SUMMARY
Design, deliver, and support operational Active Network Management Systems (ANM) for Digital Solutions Department (DSD). Participate in the delivery and support of ANM systems through their lifecycle.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Prepare system requirements, functional specifications, test specifications, and related documentation for DSD projects.
- Design data interfaces between DSD products and external systems.
- Integrate control and field instrumentation, measurement devices, test rigs, and harnesses for production projects.
- Configure, test, and commission ANM platforms and application in production and pre-production environments.
- Participate in onsite commissioning of ANM products and components.
- Maintain knowledge of latest research, development, and trial activities in the domain. Identify product opportunities consistent with DSD capabilities, platforms, and target markets.
- Further the goals and positive, professional image of DSD through effective dealings with customers and internal departments.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, industrial control, computer science, or related discipline with 3 to 5 years of experience in areas of power quality, battery energy storage systems, and FACTS devices, or equivalent education or experience.
- Intermediate knowledge of automation control platforms, communication protocol interfaces, IT communication networking, and IT security practices.
- Intermediate knowledge of the software engineering lifecycle and documentation process for design, development, and support.
- Advanced interpersonal, communication and presentation skills required to communicate with customers and employees.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Advanced computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office products.
