About the Role:
As the Director of Channel Management, you will lead a high-impact team responsible for driving revenue and long-term success across Lyra’s indirect channels, including co-seller, reseller, and ecosystem partnerships. This role is focused on scaling and optimizing our partner activation engine, ensuring that existing relationships convert to measurable growth.

You’ll oversee a team of Channel Managers, set strategic direction for partner lifecycle management, and serve as a key cross-functional leader connecting Sales, Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Operations. This is a critical leadership role for someone who excels at turning partnerships into performance—through data, playbooks, and relentless focus on execution.

This role can be carried out from our Burlingame, CA headquarters, hybrid, or fully remote/virtually. Remote candidates must be physically located within the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Channel Managers responsible for co-sell, reseller, and ecosystem partnerships
  • Set the strategic direction for partnership activation, revenue optimization, and lifecycle management across all partners
  • Partner closely with Channel Directors to ensure seamless handoff from new partnership acquisition to ongoing activation and revenue generation
  • Establish and own partner performance frameworks, including KPIs, QBR processes, and reporting standards for the partner management function
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, Customer Success, Legal, and Operations to ensure partner success and growth
  • Develop and implement scalable playbooks for partner engagement, sales enablement, and joint GTM initiatives
  • Executive point of escalation for key partners, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and relationships are strong
  • Drive continuous improvement by analyzing partner performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing strategies to maximize revenue impact
  • Represent the partner management function in leadership forums and strategic planning discussions
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent within the partner management team

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in channel sales, strategic partnerships, or business development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of managing and scaling teams responsible for partner lifecycle management and indirect revenue growth
  • Strong understanding of co-seller, reseller, and ecosystem distribution models, ideally in healthcare, benefits technology, or SaaS
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with experience coaching high-performing teams
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator with the ability to influence across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations
  • Skilled in partner analytics and reporting; experienced with CRM and partner management tools (Salesforce preferred)
  • Executive presence and communication skills for engaging senior leadership and strategic partner executives
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
